We go to school. We go to college We go to uni. We finish and struggle to find a job that just gives us money while still trying to ‘get into’ the career area we want to be in. Or if we’re lucky, we get accepted onto a good graduate scheme. Yay.

We’re in our 20’s for fucks sake.

Why do I have to know what I want to do with my life now? Can’t deal with this shit. Getting on ‘the career’ path shouldn’t be our priority. It should be enjoying life, having fun! Like travelling. Working a shit job that gives us enough money to invest in the things we enjoy doing.

Why does that sound like such an absurd idea? Not investing in the choice that gets us dental care, a mortgage and 2.5 kids in the next decade.

Nothing wrong with that like, if that’s what you want. Fair enough if getting that dream job does it for you. But I’d generalise and say that regardless of what some want, it’s “expected”. It’s, “the next step”.

So I spent friday night catching up with some friends back home and decided to dust off the camera and do a quick photoshoot of a friends Bora as a thanks for some recent help.

The car sits on 19" BBS CH wheels which give it such a clean OEM look. It was a great car to photograph and it really re-enforced my love for automotive photography!

Nice visit down to Birmingham NEC yesterday for The Photography Show. A really good show with a lot on offer for everyone in the image making profession.

Nice to see so many companies taking part, I found it a really inspiring day all round, made better by attending with 2 close photography friends.

Clear highlight of the day playing around in the Canon booth with the c300 shooting some super slow mo antics with silly string! Which went horribly wrong.

Seriously lacked motivation lately, everythings felt like an uphill struggle and I've just been very distant from my photography. Hopefully things will swing back around in time for a long break back home alongside the start of my wedding season!
