Keepin it cool! Experimenting with some more painterly backgrounds for her, gouache on wood panel.

Upon stumbling on the idea that Martin can’t read I became enamored with the concept.

And it got me thinking… When would he have had the time to learn anything much - I would believe he was good at memorizing instructions and probably connect some sounds with some words at most.

I’m certain as soon as he’d put it together, Gonff would do everything he could to get Martin to learn. (And get Columbine to help)

I found this Redwall OC, Miriam by @cynical-salmon, who has the most unfortunate luck of finding all the wrong poems. Namely all the ones for OTHER heroes. (I find this absolutely hilarious)

And now I can draw adorable things like this.

You just know that Luke is very much in love with Sayna, especially given his grieving process. But I can also see him being bad about expressing things.

I’m back onto my Redwall shenanigans and I needed to draw what Sayna may have looked like. ( I don’t recall too much of a description for her so this is my initial draft)

So now we’ve got the whole family!

"Redwall Abbey"

A Redwall Abbey MOC built in sand red. I've made a number of versions of Redwall over the years, but it's been a dream to use the out-of-production sand red color for the walls. These are some photos of the current iteration as displayed at Albuquerque Brick Convention 2026. The background is made using bricks at a 45 degree angle, which made for some fun cloud shapes.
