Hello Everyone,
Just now wrapping up a two month long journey throughout India and wanted to let you all know about the new record that’s available now! I envisioned a little more flare for this release but the internet here in Goa has been quite reclusive so my phone will have to do.
The 9 tracks of “Imaginary Places” is the first full length album to be released so far and was about 6 months in the making.
India has been an amazing experience with lots of stories of amazingly warm and generous people. I’ve also been collecting sounds and working on some new musical ideas.

A 2014 Update
Hey Y'all! My sincere apologies for being MIA the last few months... OK, 6 months. If I made new years resolutions, one might be that I consistently update the news/blog section of the website... So I will try to work on that. I'm pleased to announce that the new LP is on it's way (that's what I've been doing the last 6 months). Not quite sure of the release date as of yet but I'll let you know as soon as I know. The album which is entitled "Imaginary Places" will feature 9 tracks of audible delights which is sure to give those eardrums of yours a good tickling. My good friend Richard Hughes aka HueJahFink? over at Binary Feedback is flexing his compression/EQing/limiting muscles as we speak. Richard has worked his mastering magic on both the "Hail" single as well as the debut EP "Help Yourself" and I'm thrilled that he's involved in this project as well. In other news, there is a cool new remix from fellow soundcloud dweller, Phillipe Grishin. Phillipe, who's been a dedicated fan over the last year, had asked to do a remix of "Hail" to which I said "go for it". The result is a deeper journey into the original tune and is available for free download at this very moment. Please check out the track as well as Phillipe's Soundcloud page for more. Here is the lovely artwork he created for it...
The next several months should be very exciting with many surprises to be had... if you have not already done so, please consider "liking" the MC facebook page to follow along. Soma FM have been blasting out beautiful music for years. I first encountered "Groove Salad" and "Secret Agent" whilst editing photos at a commercial studio in the early 2000's. These two stations alone have left a HUGE imprint on my musical tastes and have led to the discovery of so many other talented artists like Amon Tobin for example. Thank you to the kind people at Soma FM for giving me some air time. It's an honor!

Hello from Muscat, Oman
I just wanted to give you a status update of sorts whilst sitting on the beach (getting slowly basted)... for those of you who may not have heard, my lovely wife and I have recently relocated to Dubai, UAE which is the main reason for me being m.i.a.. So far we are adjusting to everything quite well considering the few cultural challenges and the heat (yowzah!).
The food is spectacular so that always helps. I'm currently trying to perfect a masala chai recipe... More on that later. As you can imagine, having to set up shop on the other side of the planet and start all over again presents it's own set of challenges but rest assured, the studio is set up (sort of), contacts are being made and most importantly, music is being created.
Speaking of music, I wanted to thank all of you that have supported the cause of sonic exploration by picking up the Help Yourself EP. If you haven't yet had a chance to check it out, you can find it here or if your prefer iTunes, it's recently been added there as well. As far as what's to come in the near future... 1. a new single is on it's way AND 2. a remix with vocals from a very talented voice. I'm thoroughly excited about this as it's really the first opportunity I've had to work with vocals. Well, the ipad is getting too hot to handle. Much love from the Middle East! Matthew

New EP Release - Vinyl + CD + Digital I'm also very pleased to announce the debut release of the "Help Yourself EP".
This release will consist of 300 limited edition vinyl records as well as 300 limited edition CD's. Both formats will come in their own recycled cardboard jackets that have been meticulously screen printed and numbered by hand. My good friend Eric McGregor at WildHair Production put together a short but beautiful video of the printing process to which you can check out here.
