Queen Naerys Targaryen
by TheMarkGallery
Headcanon about Maekar's children.
Daeron the Drunken:
As is known Aemon told Sam that he thought it was the dragon dreams that killed his brothers. The hardest hit was for Daeron. Prophetic dreams ruined his life. He was even afraid to sleep at night. His parents were disappointed. Maekar tried to give him the good education. But Daeron did not make much progress in his studies and was not a diligent student, preferring games and entertainment to science. Daeron finds solace in drink, the company of revelers and idlers, gambling and various women. And when Daeron, as a teenager, first fucked a courtesan, his parents were horrified. After all, an extramarital affair spoils the reputation of the Royal Family. Although Dyanna barely recovered from childbed fever after birth to baby Rhae, she determined to talk to her son Daeron and discuss the indiscreet affair. Daeron knew he was letting his parents down, but he can't do anything about it. He confessed to his mother that his dreams were a curse that prevented him from living a normal life and he even saw dreams about his mother's death. Almost immediately after talking with her son, Dyanna fell ill and died soon after. The inconsolable Maekar blamed his first son, calling him weak and corrupted, for his behavior that brought his mother to the grave. Maekar believed that Daeron's inability to control his addiction was the cause of Dyanna's death.
Daeron hates conflict and is a good-natured person in his own way. Daeron secretly sees a maester at Oldtown for his syphilis. Although he was cured of the disease, the symptom of syphilis may return. Maestar warned that the disease could harm both his wife and children. After his marriage to Kiera of Tyrosh , Daeron became depressed. Because he was afraid of breaking Kiera's heart and the children would not be healthy. But it so happened that due to the pressure about the heir, he had to lie with his wife once, but instead of a son, the sweet, simple-minded Vaella was born.
Aerion Brightflame:
Many know him as evil, cruel, mad, cynical. Aerion has his own principle: "to avoid being oppressed, oppress." Aerys II - is Aerion's reincarnation. Aerion wished that when he ascended the Iron Throne, he would destroy all those who had offended him, insulted and all. All in the fire. "BURN THEM ALL!". For him, they are all enemies, especially Aegon. Aerion claims that his brother Aegon was their mother's and father's favourite. Meanwhile, he claims to have been The Un-Favourite due to he idolized King Maegor. During Duncan's judgement Aerion chose a trial of seven not just like that. Aerion believed that this time he would win, like Maegor. Aerion married his cousin Daenora, however, he is shown to be brutal and unpleasant towards his wife, raping her forcefully on their wedding night and then collapsing in his bed, drunk. Behind closed doors Aerion does not hesitate to use violence and insults against Daenora, considered her a useless and worthless bitch and their complete mutual hatred. Before birth to his son Maegor, Daenora suffered two miscarriages and stillbirth. After the death of brother Daeron, Aerion appointed Prince of Dragonstone. Later ends up believing that all the siblings are out to get him, and due to his paranoia, he eventually develops mental problems. Aerion went crazy to have dogs to protect him but found out one of her dogs escaped and scared Aegon's sick son Jaehaerys almost brought to death.
In the presence of his father, Aerion was considered a diligent and obedient son. But Maekar was never able to shake this association, and for the rest of his life, whenever he looked at Aerion, he remembered the his arrogance complacency, madness and death of Baelor. Though as a father, he hoped and believed that he had reformed. But it was getting worse and worse. Maekar knew that Aerion was unworthy of the throne and was thinking of how to remove him from the succession.
Aemon :
Aemon loves his family with all his heart and sometimes worries about everyone except Aerion. Aemon is believed to be King Daeron's II favorite grandson due to his love of books and quiet nature. Although Aemon hardly remembers his mother, he has a very warm relationship with her. Of all the brothers, the closest were Daeron and Aegon (Egg). When Aegon is born little Aemon couldn't pronounce his full name from joy, so he calls him Egg. They were inseparable brothers and playmates until King Daeron II sent Aemon to the Citadel. For Brother Daeron Aemon was the only siblings who he knew he could entrusted him with his secrets and prophetic dreams. Even in service at Dragonstone they became even closer. Aemon always treated his sisters Daella and Rhae with warmth and love. Daella he treated her equally. While he happily plays with his little sister Rhae and babysat her. Princess Rhaelle was not just a favorite niece, Aemon delivered Betha's labour. Despite Maekar's difficult character, Aemon loves him like a son to his father. Maekar trusts his third son very much and often needed his wise advice.
Maester Aemon, being the eldest of the living sons of the late king, could have taken the throne, but He not going to become an oathbreaker and refused it. King Maekar knew this very well and instructed Aemon to read his Secret Will in Great Council, which stated that Aegon would sit on the Throne. Aegon was devastated and shocked that he was chosen as King. Egg never wanted to take the throne or rule. He hoped that Aegon would renounce the inheritance and move with Betha and the children to the village and live peacefully and freely as always wanted. Aemon reasoned with and calmed his little brother. In the Wall Aemon corresponded with King Aegon, Rhaelle and Rhaegar. But in the last years of his reign, Aegon stopped writing and answering letters to him, due to mourning for his wife and son. Aemon learned that his brother Aegon, Ser Duncan, and nephew had died in the fire in Summerhall. He felt grief and disappointment with his brother. Aemon tried to understand what had driven her beloved brother to gather everyone at Summerhall and put them in danger in the process. Either Aegon had lost the meaning of life, or he believed that his dreams about dragons would come true. After the fall of the Targaryen Dynasty, Robert Baratheon left Aemon alone, not only because he was his grandmother's favorite relative, but also because he did not see him as a threat to the crown. In the end, maesters have no claim to the Throne.
Daella :
Daella the one I imagined : witty, willful, lively, sarcastic and persistent. But at the same time, she is a caring older sister, responsible and protective of her family, except for Aerion. By nature, she is very correct, smart and responsible.
Gives the impression of Elaena Targaryen has many common features: has a busy personal life. Willfulness. Love for family and duty to them. Even though she is engaged to her brother, she can't imagine her married life with Egg. After all, he is nothing more than a little brother to her. Rhae - for her, she is the only, dear and desired sister. Daella was bored among her brothers. Daeron - there's nothing to talk about with him except dreams and alcohol. Aerion - only hurts someone. Aemon - doesn't like to play noisy games. Aegon - braggart and nincompoop. Since Rhae's birth, Daella has taken care of her and even protected her. Little Rhae believes in fairy tales about a brave knight and a beautiful love, while Daella believes and sees reality. As an older sister, she did not approve of her affair with Duncan, but she wanted to see her happy, and Daella was curious about what it was like to be with those she loved. Daella - is first who found out that Rhae with Duncan's child. She offered Rhae some moon tea, but didn't insist, instead giving her the choice. And Rhae chose to keep her child. Daella provided her with moral support. Princess Daella had to marry twice, the first time by the will of the king Maekar and the second time for love. The first marriage - house Yronwood. Maekar needed them, if only to prevent them siding with a Blackfyre the next time Bittersteel crowned one King. So he arranged the engagement of his eldest daughter to Lord of Yronwood. However Daella was furious that she was being married to a traitor. But she had to submit and asked father to promise her that, having become a widow, she would be able to marry a second time for love. After the death of her first husband, Daella was in love with her maternal cousin Dayne Sword of the Morning and married him - apparently with Aegon's blessing.
Aegon V (Egg) :
Egg was considered the favorite of the whole family. His birth was under a lucky star. He is loved and adored for his childish innocence and sweetness. Aegon was a curly-haired boy until his brother Daeron shaved it off. The parents love their youngest son very much, but they do their best to shield him from everyone. Maekar and Dyanna trying to distance the youngest son from the court. Dyanna Dayne really wanted him to live a normal life. As an simple boy playing with other children, as a normal person, untouched by intrigue and madness. Little Egg when he finds lovely and unusual things, he gives Mom a gift for example, a ladybug, a woodlouse, a shell, a chestnut, an acorn, and others. His last gift for his lady mother was a stone shaped like a star. He said he'd found a star that had fallen from the sky. Dyanna Dayne accepts son's gift with affection and predicted that good luck awaited his son. Deep down, Maekar knew that Aegon to be his favourite. He saw himself reflected in Aegon. Once upon a time, a red priestess prophesied that newborn Prince Aegon was the chosen one. Aegon - reborn Azor Ahai. Like the Prince That Was Promised, what will bring A Song of Ice and Fire. Of course, the sensible Maekar did not immediately believe the red priestess's prophecy. No one saw the fourth son of the king's fourth son as a threat but Maekar understood that the prophecy was in force, so he used all the restrictions in order to protect his son. Namely: do not go beyond the gates of the Summerhall, don't run around the palace, do not speak during the council, when he served as a page. Egg's education received much attention. He was taught writing, geography, arithmetic, Valyrian, and history. But he was not taught either fighting or horse riding, so that Egg doesn't stand out from his older brothers and cousins. The boy wants to be like knight. But his father told him sternly: "Aegon, you don't need to do anything. You will have responsibilities and duties of your own when the time is right. Now is not that time.". Aegon didn't understand the meaning of the restrictions and the same words "My prince, you don't need to do anything." "Grow up healthy, Egg, and don't need to do anything." This irritates him but he began to dream that his life would change and he would gain true freedom the wide open world.
His life after travelling Westeros taught him a lot. Sir Duncan taught him to ride a horse and fight with weapons. Sometimes Duncan taught him to hunt for food. But Egg doesn't like killing animals, especially sweety and harmless ones. When Dunk and Egg arrived at the tavern for the night, they were served rabbit meat. Egg was seized by the urge to vomit everything he ate. To him, a rabbit is a lovable and cute creature, and it is not the kind of animal to be eaten by humans. No, he is not a vegetarian, Aegon loves petting and caring for animals. During the escape from Lady Vaith, Aegon learned to pick a lock using all sorts of tools. On the ship Egg learned to tie a sailor's knot and hold the helm. In The North and Greywater studied drugs and medicine. Aegon was 14 years old when he returned home after his journey from Dorne to the Wall. On the one hand, Aegon glad to be back home. On the other hand, he thought that things would never be the same again. Aegon felt like he was once again being held captive within four walls. It's like he's inside an egg the shells begin to thicken, refusing to let the Aegon leave (like in a cartoon Mountain of Dinosaurs. In the case, this is not for the faint of heart!). A tournament at Ashford Meadow is Aegon's mental trauma. After all, Baelor was a beloved uncle and Egg couldn’t even believe that his Father Maekar is kinslayer. To avoid going crazy, Aegon finds something to do. For example: Aegon rides on horseback greets the dawn; does the cleaning without the help of servants; takes care of horses; doing exercises. Helping with the smallfolk is a pleasure for him. Aegon helps them plow and sow the field. He also mows millet together with them. Sometimes Aegon likes to disguise himself to hide his royal origins. Later, Aegon got a star tattooed on his shoulder, symbolizing his eternal love for freedom. Aegon thought about becoming one of the knights of the Kingsguard, who are sworn not to wed. Maekar knew about his son's wishes, but he won't let him become like Aemon. His Father sent Aegon to travel around the Seven Kingdoms to find himself a bride. While travelling, Aegon and Duncan came across the cortege of Lady Betha Blackwood. Aegon was struck not only by her beauty and willfulness, but also by her military skills, and fell in love with her. The resourceful Duncan introduced Egg to her as his dim-witted squire, and then Lady Betha took them with her to make a real warrior out of him. Upon arrival in of Raventree Hall, Betha's brother took charge of Egg's education, but he strenuously pretended to be a coward and incompetent, attributing all his occasional successes to his teacher. However, Betha began to suspect he was only pretending. Meanwhile, under cover of night, Raventree Hall was attacked by a large band of robbers, forcing Egg to reveal himself as a skilled warrior. Thanks to Aegon's resourcefulness, the robbers were dealt with, and he confessed that the entire deception was orchestrated because he had fallen in love with Betha. He proposed to her to marry him. Lord Blackwood(what it his name?) is very surprised that the Dragon Prince wants to marry her daughter. He is probably very worried that such a wayward and willful girl is not taken as a wife. Maekar agreed to the engagement so easily Aegon and Betha. On the one hand, he didn't want a scandal for refusing in marriage, as Aegon made a public proposal at the tourney. And on the other hand, Maekar himself married for love. Plus Betha reminded him a lot of Dyanna. As for the broken engagement, I think Daella doesn't mind. After the wedding, Aegon and Betha travel around Westeros as a honeymoon.
His relationship with his siblings is varied. With big brother Daeron can be called not bad. Of course, as an older brother, Daeron was not an authority figure for Egg, but they are friendly. Sometimes Egg consulted his brother about dreams. To Daeron dream's - is cursed. To Aegon dream's - it's part of him. It's shaped him as a person. For the first time, they have a drinking competition. During the reign of their Father, Aegon to a realisation that Daeron suffers from syphilis. He pleads with him to go to a facility where he knows they have the best treatment. Daeron knew about his imminent death, refuses help from Egg and Aemon. Aegon later named his youngest son after his brother Daeron. Because he felt guilty before him and grateful for that meeting with Duncan the Tall. With Aerion, as is clear to everyone, very-very hostile. Although there was no open war for the Throne, it is clear that they hate each other. As soon as Maekar reached his final boiling point, he sent Aerion to Lys. There he drank of wildfire, believing it would transform him into a dragon and dead. Aegon learned of Aerion's death and the circumstances under which he died. He could grieve or gloat, but Aegon experiences only emptiness. His favourite brother Aemon was not simple an older brother, but also a best friend. Aegon always turned to him for wise advice, even when he was in the Wall. Sometimes he himself came to visit his brother in the Citadel. Even though Daella's a year older him, she is like a mother to him. It was Daella that Aegon had cried to when Aerion threw his kitten in the well – after Father insisted the poor thing had simply escaped and fallen of its own accord, and Daella he'd told when Aerion threatened to cut him. Rhae - is favourite sister. Probably when Aegon complained to Father about Rhae, of course Maekar didn't believe it and thought Egg was making it up. Despite the fact that she gave him the so-called love potion, he treats her well. Sometimes he likes to spoil her with sweets. Sometimes he squeezed her cheek. He named his youngest daughter after his sisters. Rhaelle - Rhae and Daelle.
Rhae :
From birth she was a spoiled and loved child. When Dyanna gave birth, Maekar was by her side and say 'It's a fine child, and a girl!' He wanted to name her after Queen Rhaenys. But the exhausted and tired Dyanna does not approve of this, for she fears that the name "Rhaenys" will doom the baby to misfortune. That's why before she died she called her by a sweet and short name. When Dyanna Dayne died, Prince Maekar blamed Daeron, not the newborn Rhae, for his wife's death. He sincerely believed that his son's unworthy behavior literally broke the heart of his dear "Angel". As soon as he got closer to the cradle of his little daughter, he saw similar features of his wife in her. When Maekar held baby Rhae in his arms and he himself did not notice how much loved her. It seems to me that Maekar felt a special feeling of not only pity, but also tenderness for the little youngest girl. some said that that was why Maekar was so taken with her, that his wife breathed her last breath into her, so it was within her she lived on. Not only does he worry about her health and good care, he delves into every detail: what is the wet nurse like? Why is the baby crying? Note that this isn't out of irritation at the child's cries, which the careless nannies can't calm. He asks why she suffers, how can this suffering be alleviated? He consults with the macerator, the nanny, anyone. Maekar did everything so that she didn’t need anything. Rhae grew up like a hothouse flower, a kind girl, sometimes naive. Sometimes she has poor health. During Great Spring Sickness Rhae fell ill with illness. Maekar was very afraid that he would lose his precious, fragile daughter. But luckily, Rhae escaped death. A little princess who knows almost nothing about life because of her overprotective Father and her position (she almost never left the palace and had a very narrow social circle). The closest of siblings - is Daella and Egg. Rhae had never known their mother; she'd died shortly after Rhae was born. So Daella was as much a mother as a sister. Rhae looked to Daella for comfort and strength. Daella found out that Rhae was in love with Ser Duncan the Tall. On the one hand, she has nothing against her sister's feelings, but on the other hand she warned her. Aegon - beloved brother. Rhae, being a little girl of four years old, was just joking with Egg about the potion. It’s not really a love potion. Also she loves to find out what he did during the adventure.
When the meeting happened, the little girl Rhae wanted to eat her favorite roasted chestnuts but she set her hand on fire and it hurt. Ser Duncan, Knight of Summerhall, blew on her hand to ease the pain. At the very beginning, she is interested in the knight. Over time spent with him, she felt such a spark in her heart. Duncan saw her as Egg's little sister all this time but as soon as Rhae had the courage to confess her strong feelings to him and said that she loved him, he reciprocated her feelings. Since then they have been dating secretly. Until he became a Knight of Kingsguard, of course and Rhae was given in marriage to Lord Tarth. Rhae didn't like the fact that she was being married off to a elderly man and it’s hard for her to part with her beloved. At the same time, she learned that she was pregnant by Duncan. King Maekar learned that his daughter and the knight were lovers and on top of that, Rhae got pregnant from Dunk. It shocked him. Old and wise Lord Tarth asks Maekar not to kill ser Duncan for the sake of his daughter. Lord Tarth will still take the princess as his wife and will accept Dunk's child as his own. If it is a boy, he will become Tarth's legitimate son. If it's a girl, she'll be named Waters, but she will be engaged to his son from his first marriage. Maekar pardoned Duncan out of love for his daughter and understood that this knight was still needed in the Kingdom. After marriage she stayed Evenfall Hall and gave birth to a baby girl. The young princess is relieved and happy greeted her daughter with delight: "You are not what was desired, but you are no less dear to me on that account. You shall be mine; you shall have my undivided care; you will share all my happinesses and you will alleviate my sufferings.". She was named after her mother, Dyanna. Later Dyanna Waters married the young heir of Evenfall and from their union was born Selwyn Tarth. Somehow Duncan left his shield with Lord Tarth. Dyanna Waters knew about her real father and was proud of him.

Daeron ll Targaryen & Myriah Martell "You are our queen… my queen"
I love this couple very much. I see their relationship as very sensitive, tender, and supportive. Myriah became the first Dornish queen after years of feuding between the Targaryens and the Martells. It was difficult for her to adjust, to find her place, to accept the role that had been given to her. But Daeron always managed to calm his wife's insecurities and soothe her worries. In the artwork, he presents her with her own crown in front of a mirror, symbolizing that Myriah should have no doubt that she is the true queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

So much of my impression of Reed Richards as autistic in the new Fantastic Four movie comes from Pedro Pascal's delivery. The way he chooses to say these lines makes such a difference--like "I am that smart" or "Anyone can build a crib, only I can build this" could EASILY have made him read as an a-hole, but Pedro's Reed says them with a sincerity that feels very autistic to me. He's not bragging or being snide, he's just stating the truth, and there's even a lot of gentleness in it. (And, I mean, come on, his confusion about the extra screws for the crib? "They included two extra...I have no idea why." He meant that!) His argument with Ben about how "cooking is more of an art than a math or a science" and how he failed his driver's test because of "poorly placed signage" (I love him) could have felt pedantic or prideful, but he says them with this sweet, almost abashed feeling that feels very genuine and familiar.
His reactions to Sue's pregnancy and the press post-Galactus excursion also read as autistic: he is clearly feeling a lot, but he isn't sure how to express it, so with Sue it comes out as immediately moving to problem-solving ("we'll have to design tests to account for our mutated DNA--") and with the press it shows up as reassurance-seeking: even though he's at the mic, he is constantly looking over at his family as if they could tell him what he should say. They even do end up answering some questions for him, and the most he says without a very long pause is his first comment: "I'm sorry we don't have a prepared statement" (which because of its delivery also feels very autistic).
And there's also his face, which is highlighted as very expressive in contrast to his fairly monotone voice. "I finally crossed it off the list," is said very simply and without context (true autistic information-sharing lol) but when Johnny jokes with him afterwards about taking back all the bad things he's said, Reed's face is telegraphing that he doesn't know how much of it is a joke. And at the start of the film, it's joked that his face is what gives away the pregnancy. (Not to mention Ben's joke about being surprised Reed isn't in panic-induced sweats and his reply that "I had that scheduled for later"...sir. You're not dodging the allegations)
Even in his fight with Sue the entirety of what he says is just so autistic to me. "I don't dream, I don't wonder. I let all of the worst things into my head, because it's my job to think of the bad things so that we can do them to them before they do them to us!" and Sue responds, "It's not your job, it's you." And he immediately agrees. And when Sue says "Sometimes, you being you hurts me," he can only pause and say "I don't mean to..." And Sue responds, "I know." And both of them feel so honest in how they say these lines! Reed really doesn't mean to hurt her, of course he doesn't, but he also doesn't know any other way to be, and he doesn't know how to make it hurt her less, and you can feel that he's really at a loss for what to do. Thankfully he is met with understanding, but the experience of the way you are and how you function being something that can hurt other people without your intending to or being able to help it is extremely relatable to autistic people. On top of this interaction, Reed feels like his whole family's pain is his fault, because he "should have known" that the suits "were...inadequate"--self-blame which makes him even more relatable.
And then there's the heartbreaking scene with him and Franklin where he quietly tells him, "I hope you're not like me. There's something wrong with me...always has been." It wasn't just the mutated DNA that made Reed feel wrong. He says he's always felt that way. There's nothing more autistic than that.
Anyway yeah I'm used to Reed feeling like a colder, less-emotional version of Tony Stark, but Pedro Pascal really breathes new life into this character. He is anxious and particular and warm and very, very autistic.
