A declassified World War II-era government guide to “simple sabotage” is currently one of the most popular open source books on the internet. The book, called “Simple Sabotage Field Manual,” was declassified in 2008 by the CIA and “describes ways to train normal people to be purposefully annoying telephone operators, dysfunctional train conductors, befuddling middle managers, blundering factory workers, unruly movie theater patrons, and so on. In other words, teaching people to do their jobs badly.”  Over the last week, the guide has surged to become the 5th-most-accessed book on Project Gutenberg, an open source repository of free and public domain ebooks. It is also the fifth most popular ebook on the site over the last 30 days, having been accessed nearly 60,000 times over the last month (just behind Romeo and Juliet).

i made stan get blinded by the whole community

I redesigned my RMS Olympic, RMS Majestic, and RMS Homeric gijinkas! I decided it'd be cool to put them all together in one drawing and even though it took longer than I thought it would, it was very much worth it. I figured I can probably tell you all about them as well, so here goes.

RMS Olympic:

Olympic suffers from depression from various factors, though mostly due to losing both of her sisters and the Great War. Olympic, being one of the more experienced ships by the 1920s, is expected to take these new white star liners under her wing and be something like a mentor, though their relationship is rocky at times.

RMS Homeric:

Homeric was the first German ship to be handed over to the White Star Line. Originally known as Columbus and sailing for the Norddeutscher Lloyd, she was prideful of her German identity even after the loss of the war. She never let go of her old name until her scrapping in the 1930s.

RMS Majestic:

Majestic was to be the third and final ship of the famous Ballin Trio, part of the Hamburg-Amerika Linie. Majestic was originally known as Bismarck, and prior to the end of the Great War, she was quite literally a symbol of German patriotism, often preaching German Imperialist ideals and peace, while behind the scenes she'd viewed herself superior to any other ship that wasn't like her.

The loss of the great war hit her hard, and when she joined White Star she became a shell of her former self. Majestic was quiet and broken, having been seperated from her sisters while feeling the shame of defeat.

Now that you've gotten to know these ladies a bit I'll go over their design aspects.

Olympic wears a simple black skirt with a big red stripe at the bottom. It's a popular fashion choice among my gijinkas since it replicates their exterior appearance; a black hull with a little bit of their anti fouling visible above water. She also wears bronze colored Mary Jane heels, another fashion choice which represents the propellers. It's kind of like a ship's feet. She has a bright yellow belt, similar to the color of her sheer stripe which serves as divider between the black bottom part of her outfit and the white top. Olympic's shirt is a white sleeveless shirt with a v neck that goes below the collarbone, and has the pattern of her grand staircase dome. It's similar to what Titanic once wore, and serves as a way to remember her. She also has a lifeboat necklace with diamonds, yet another popular fashion trend with ships. Her coat has her old dazzle camo, which she wears in honor of the soldiers she once transported, but mainly her other sister, Britannic. Finally, she wears a cloche hat colored the same way as her funnels.

Majestic's outfit unfortunately doesn't have as much lore, but the idea is that she wears something of a simpler and more humble outfit to reflect her loss of pride. She has a more flapper like appearance, and unlike a funnel hat, she wears three artificial feathers colored like her funnels.
