Also, I needed to give Viktor a last name in this AU, so with some research I decided to pick Nekola, because it means "victor of the people" in Czech and I thought it would be fun to have his name basically be Viktor Victor lol

It seems like just a silly background gag at first, but it's one that implies he's still hungry, which adds up since he spent the entire dinner scene struggling to get food while being pushed around and talked over by his uncles.

But it looks like after he finally got a plate of pasta, making sure Mario had something to eat took first priority, and that's beautiful I think.

I don’t want to turn this into a diary but I am filled with despair. We are threatening to wipe a civilization off the map. Yes, WE. All of us are complicit. It’s hard to think any of us are “one of the good ones” when none of us are doing anything real meaningful to stop this. If we nuke Iran, I will be just as complicit because I still go to work every day and keep my head down even though I post angrily online.
