I was reading the demigod diaries story about buford, and at one point jason couldn't fly because "the wind spirits didn't want to get close to the danger".
like I totally get sometimes having to put constraints on characters so you can write a story as intended (see: atla putting sokka in a hole for an entire episode), but also... seriously?? thats the excuse we're running with ??? that puts a whole bunch of implications on how jason flies, being that he orders wind spirits to move him around or something, rather than just controlling the wind as a non-sentient thing. aka, how percy controls the fuckin water ??? like I feel like so often rick nerfs jason with these weird ass contingencies and it annoys me to no end, especially because percy can do so much stuff and we don't get to see a lot of jason's abilities <///3
