I’m certain someone else has thought this same thing, but what if Jax’s consciousness was put ing the circus after the car scenes we see? Did he potentially die in this accident and the only way to save his consciousness was to hook him to this AI world?

Is this why he holds so much resistance in returning to the real world? Because there’s no world left for him?

Design: Is pictured with Frankenstein like scars across the body, behind the half faced doe mask her eyes are shrouded by spirals. The scars represent Doe’s fear of illness in real life, in a digital land the chronic illness escapes you, but that doesn’t change the fears that plague your body. The spirals come from OCD and anxiety, the ability to spiral so easily and fall into it. The mask covers this up, as masking always does. A soft and gentle look, a fragile one as well. She wears a black dress, boots(that can never be removed), and a coat she managed to create with her mind. She prefers to cover as many scars as she can, though the ones on her legs and neck remain exposed.

Arrival Time?: Prior to Pomni, though it had been a while. Nobody’s entirely sure how much time had passed. At first they kept track, but it became too hard to try. It only worsened things. Was time even real if you exist simply in a realm of digital imagination?

How did they get to the circus?: He always had a knack for old tech, always being interested. When the sounds from inside drew him in he couldn’t resist. An exchange of pain for anxiety, really losing the chronic illness wasn’t half that bad. However being confronted with your mortality and sanity? Abstraction should’ve come easy to this little doe!

First Adventure: Holiday Mayhem!

This is an,, interesting adventure. Caine doesn’t fully understand holidays, but wants to give them some fun! It’s about the last thing Doe wants to do after being sucked into the circus and they’re being dragged around trying to unite different orbs with their holiday…except none of them are real! And there’s presents with teeth!

Relationships to Cast-

Jax- Two extremely strong personalities that don’t exactly mesh well, at least not at first. Especially when one of you has limbs that can easily detach by the stitches. The sarcasm and at times cruel jokes may clash, especially when Doe doesn’t maintain an act (unlike some of the others especially Jax). His attempt at friendship runs extremely short with Jax, even when he tries to give each of them a chance Jax wore her down fast. During certain adventures they see more eye to eye, but her somewhat controlling nature usually doesn’t mesh with him.

Zooble- These two had a rocky start as well, though came together much faster. At first they thought the other was trying to hard, however it became clear the reasons behind their behaviors, and honestly? It wasn’t like Doe was all that different from them after all. They form a decent friendship. When nights are especially poor in their room, Doe may knock up on Zoobles door, just for company to avoid the impending doom and panic attacks.

Ragatha- At first Doe thought she was kind, but the overly optimistic behaviour wore them down fast. And I mean FAST. Within the first adventure Doe was snapping and even went off on her own. She apologizes later for this, regretful of her outburst, however it can be hard for her to come around to Ragatha. She’s understanding, however their personalities just…don’t mesh. Except when Jax is pissing everyone off.

Kinger- Can anyone have a negative opinion on Kinger? He may be a bit battie, but his presence was always comforting for Doe, especially since they can relate to the panic and fear at times. The jumpy nature. If there’s an adventure it’s likely you may see these two together. A comforting presence even if he isn’t the most grounding person to be around.

Gangle- Friend or foe it’s hard to say, though Doe is similar to Zooble in sympathy and friendship. At first they perceived Gangle as a lot, but it’s easier as time goes on and you know how to adapt. Doe can be shockingly comforting. It’s much easier to help ground others than it is to try and do so to yourself. She’s able to navigate the mood swings well, which helps in the long run for their friendship. The closer they get the more his true nature begins to shine, his support and love for friends is never ending (which may only worsen things considering none of this is real).

Pomni- Doe is still unsure of the presence. Pomni seems so…neutral and that’s scary. So positive and understanding, in a way that doesn’t make sense (even if he often is the same way). Bad experiences of the past, even once’s you can’t remember, may taint your perception of people going forward. Sometimes he lashes out on her telling her to just “quit the f*****g act” and then is even more frustrated when the words don’t work. She feels guilt over these interactions, but it’s hard to say if there’s an apology that follows.

Caine- Fuck Ai. She does enjoy entertaining him though,, or getting entertainment from him. You can’t torture an AI it doesn’t have feelings!

Headcanons ~

• Has (and will again) broke into Jax’s room and spent the night, particularly when the anxieties too much. Will bring their own pillow and sleep on the damn floor if they have to(sometimes they kick Jax out of his ow bed).

• Asks Gangle to draw things for his room, covering up the mirrors is best.

• Has thrown up on multiple adventures and will continue to do so.

• Has willed cigarettes into existence in the circus. It’s not killing the body, so we cares? And you get a little buzz.

• Ya know how ragatha accidentally got high? Yeah, they did that on purpose and were slumped out behind the cash register while Pomni dealt with everything else.

I don’t think the concept of the game is bad so much as to what they’ve done.

I think they forgot that Life is Strange isn’t a dating sim(as the newer games have become) and that fans enjoyed the games because of its exploration of characters and their relationships(romantic and platonic). I think many people don’t want to see Max deciding who to romance and I can imagine it’ll take away from the murder mystery plot.

I think the concept for this game was made with original characters in mind, I don’t think it really fits with Max but because they need her powers to push the plot they put them together. Thats how it feels anyways.

I also feel it’s unrealistic that the Chloe that could never let go of max (or Rachel) wouldn’t remain friends or within a close distance of max after a break up. I also don’t know if she would even be the one to initiate said breakup. Though the concept of a breakup does make sense for their relationship. Chloe had so much she needs to work out-but she’s a selfish character. So much of her being /is/ selfish and it’s not always a bad thing, but she did so much for her own benefit, would use Max’s powers to help herself(or often would out max in the position where she needed to save her), then turn it back onto her.

Overall

I believe he concept of the game could’ve been good if things didn’t feel so forced, pushed, etc.

I also don’t like how they changed lore created us LIS2(“after this photo we had a big fight”) it just sort of feels disrespectful to the prior games and lore created
