Arcane×Little Mermaid AU. I thought I'd tell you more about what came up in my head. The AU is similar to the original Disney Little Mermaid, but it has some differences. Victor suffers in the sea life due to the inability to swim fully, like other mermaids due to a fin injury, which is why he does not have the opportunity to communicate with his fellow mermaids on a full level. He watches the life of people on land with great interest, and he dreams of legs because he believes that this is his chance for a free existence. Vitya collects human objects with the same enthusiasm, just like Ariel, but unlike her, he likes to modify the things he finds into some of his own intricate inventions. Part 2.

Jace, a good-natured sailor serving in the royal navy, who can talk about the sea for hours with rapture, and so much thirsts for adventures to his own detriment. During another sortie, by the will of fate, the ship suffers a shipwreck, and the entire crew, including Jace, has to be saved. Victor, in turn, was in the right place at the right time and simply saved the drowning man. Here I have another difference from the Little Mermaid, where, unlike the original, Jace immediately meets his savior, and they start a conversation, where each asks questions that have long interested them about life at sea and on land. As it turns out, they have a lot in common, which is why their union becomes useful to each other. Since that fateful day, our guys see each other every day, actively discussing various topics, Jace brings books from the library for Victor, and he, in turn, brings his inventions from human household items, which greatly delights Jace. I like how this AU intersects with the division of the world in Arcane, here the sea and land are similar to Zaun and Piltover but not the same.
