Sarah smiled as she laid back on the couch and listened to Arden singing, this was her favourite thing. Getting to watch him sing and play the guitar, just as she knew he loved hearing her sing as well.
She watched him the whole time, her eyes practically the shape of hearts as she listened, curling the blanket around her as she felt herself relaxing. "You're amazing baby." She said in her croaky voice and leaning in to kiss his cheek as he finished the song off. "When I'm better one day we need to sing together, even just for fun, play around with the guitar, with a piano and just sing."
Arden could feel Sarah's gaze, it sparked a warm light in the pit of his stomach. He sang with a soft passion, performing for her, the only person who's opinion he truly cared about. Sarah was the only audience he wished to impress. The rest was just extra. The rest was mainly for Sarah. Arden didn't mind being second chair to Sarah- in fact, he preferred it that way- but when the roles were reversed... he could always feel that Sarah was giving him all of her loving attention.
He basked in this feeling, his thoughts only stopped for a moment as Sarah's lips found him and almost pulled him out of his trance-like state. Still, he found it possible to finish the song before Sarah suggested a wonderful idea.
"Yeah, we could... get a studio for a day or two or three..." he was getting excited at the thought of this new project, "And just make music together for us. About whatever we want. Whatever you want." He beamed at her. "But, hey," he caught himself, "whisper, please, baby. Your voice..." he reminded her gently.

Song: No Blueberries Artist: DPR IAN ft. DPR LIVE, CL Character: Noah
Sarah let out a chuckle at his joke, coughing slightly as she started to laugh too much. At least he always knew how to make her smile even when she was feeling like death warmed up.
"Yes please." Sarah smiled, her voice croaky, even though she couldn't sing along she still loved to hear him playing music. "I love listening to you.."
Arden began to pick expertly on the strings. After a few minutes of playing he fell into a rather challenging song: Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson.
Arden wasn't a great singer but at the very least he could cary a tune, he could sing on key... he just wasn't the singer in this group. He was okay with this, especially since he could cheat- singing quietly, singing softly, made his voice sounds just melodic enough.
"...Can't you see that it's just rainin'? Ain't no need to go outside..."
He turned to look at Sarah, studying her face as the words slipped from his lips... an automatic process that could not be stopped until it was finished.
"...Wakin' up too early Maybe we can sleep in..."
He smiled, then turned his attention back to his guitar, though his mind was still envisioning Sarah's perfect features.
No matter how much Sarah travelled the world and no matter how much success she had, she never grew tired of seeing her face on billboards. The idea that people knew who she was, that her music and her face was out there for everyone to see.
She smiled in the photos, it was clear how excited she was. She could remember being a little kid and dreaming of this moment.
"Thank you." Sarah smiled and leaned in to kiss Arden's cheek softly. "You're like my own personal photographer these days, thanks for having to endlessly take photos of me."
Arden hated to be the center of attention and often got nervous when all eyes were on him... unless he had an instrument to play. So long as he had an instrument he was not him. He was a performer. But Sarah just got so happy seeing the fruits of her labor, her name rightfully placed on billboard all over the world. Her music heard around the world... she deserved all the glory. That was how Arden saw it, at least.
Sarah smiled bright and pleasant for the photos and thanked Arden afterwards. "It's an honor and a pleasure just to look at you." He said, his words saturated with admiration, "Taking your photo. That's a privilege and a blessing." She kissed his cheek and his smile brightened.
"How much further, do you think, until we reach the tower?" Arden asked, slipping an arm around Sarah's shoulders as they continued their late night walk together.
I am taking a lil break here as IRL is poppin' right now! I will try to get to replies within the week-- if we write together on Discord and you are seeing this, expect an OOC message from me here soon or feel free to message me!

In the mean time... you know what to do... yada yada yada... I'm not your mother.
Belle knew the affect she had on people. The way she naturally drew them in. It was the same with her dad and brother. More often than not, it was a good thing -- as it made getting what she wanted extremely easy. But other times... Other times it made her wonder if people really liked her for her. Or if they did so because of this preternatural charm she gave off.
And just for the record, vampires were real. She had met several. And not just in New Orleans.
"Merci. I'm always really fun to lose at cards to...if you ever felt like parting with your money."
Noah put up his hands, "Hey, don't get me wrong, now." His voice was hammy, "I love playing cards! And gambling! And lots of other vices that go along with those things, like smoking and drinking," a big smile took over his whole face, his eyes squinting as he exaggerated the grin. "But!" He jabbed his pointer finger into the air above their heads, "I only place bets in spare change and I only have about 5 bucks at a time to play with so..." his eyes roamed around the room one good time, his mind whirring as his fingers drummed the table erratically, "We can play Penny Poker, if you're down with low stakes bets."

"About twenty years. Twenty-three, if you want t' be exact. She was already working with X-Factor when Nate and I were born. A lot of people back home used t' think we were secretly hers and Ma and Da were just covering for her. Ma shut those rumors down real quick. She said she was nae going t' look as good as she did after having two kids just for everyone t' say she didnae."
"My parents are great. Ma can be a little intense, but she's had a hard go of it. Da's just a giant teddy bear. With a powerful set of lungs."
Cass nodded with understanding as she mentioned the X-Factor, he'd heard stories about them. Which parts were bonafide and true was lost to Cass, though he had his suspicions that the X-Factor were not to be messed with. "Damn." Cass let out a dry chuckle, "Your mom sounds really cool."
Abruptly he pulled in a breath, then decided to take a risk and let down his walls just a little... he was testing the proverbial waters... "My mom is intense, too... but not as much as my father. I love my mother, but-" he paused, still unsure of how he should lay out his next few words, "I could have been better off without the ol' man." He decided this was the most delicate way to put it.
Definitely
Nobody asked but here's where I stand with this rap beef, obvi
"Right. A Normal, human created, haunted house." Sage assured as he's walking into it. He grinned a bit. Not really afraid of anything all that much. These things just seemed silly to him, definitely. He really couldn't even figure why anyone got a thrill out of these. So he wanted to try for himself.
"It's one of the only games I ever played growing up. It better be." He muttered about the referencing. Glancing toward the sounds of the chainsaw, he continued to confidently make his way further into the haunted house watching as the man in costume moved in front of him. Sage stares at the actor with little reaction, letting them carry on with their act.
At Biron's comment on it he scrunched his nose a bit "I'd still prefer it on a stage." He nodded. Not actually having seen a single play on stage. But he still enjoyed the idea of them, from what he had been told. Raising his eyebrows as the actor ran out of material, he lift a hand up, waving the actor to the side "That was great, bud." He pat the actor on the shoulder as he passed by them and carried on to the the next section, watching a female actor come out and spout off a few lines of her own.
Biron turned his attention on Sage when the other muttered something he couldn't make out, as the sound of wicked laughter on a speaker somewhere in the vacinity blotted out Sage's words. He dismissed it, but heard Sage's next comment, giggling to himself as Sage watched these hard-working improv actors give their best to an unmoved audience.
"No, really, it was awesome. 5 stars." Biron said as he side stepped the actor, following after Sage. He liked the way Sage was so stone cold in the face of the manufactured gore and horror. He found it enjoyably cheesy but Sage simply under-reacted, his dry humor and deadpan tone really shined in the darkest corners of this haunted house.
Finally, they came to the final room, the one that had been marked by the sounds of a chainsaw revving wildly. This room had to be the final room because it was the only with a door they were expected to open and walk through on their own accord. Biron placed a hand over the little doorknob.
"Ready? Last room." He swung the door open and stepped into total darkness. The chainsaw revved to live and the lights flickered... another strobe light on high intensity. "This is really not good for people who have seizures." Biron said under the velocity of the chainsaw. A man in an ugly and oversized mask charged the two of them but stopped short, holding the chainsaw menacingly.
"Of course there's no chain." Biron chuckled, speaking directly to the large man in the larger mask, "Safety protocol, huh?" Biron applauded the man, as the strobe light was switched off and regular lighting filled the room. "Thanks for coming guys!" The man said through his mask. Biron gave a smile then turned his gaze to Sage.
"Well, that was fun." He said simply.
