i always loved the little progression amadeus & lunella had on the earlier arcs of moon girl & devil dinosaur, mostly because it’s very reminiscent of how he acted out when he was younger and doesn’t want to see her trailing down in the same way. They are stubborn and proud enough to not admit defeat on the genius vs genius grounds, and started out on the roughest note, but he cares a lot about her and wants her to run around safe.
