One rewatch of Norway No How that struck me was - at Port Wenn's biggest (secretest) event - Glendon was freaking not there

I mean, assuming that this side of the front row was for the council people - they really said "HECK YOU GLENDON AND THE AGREEMENT YOU WROTE ON".

They're mad at him that much that he's not even at the reception.

CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW HORRIBLE YOU HAVE BEEN TO NOT HAVE BEEN INVITED TO BOTH. Crime so unforgiveable, the whole of Port Wenn said "We have our limits you bastard".

Now - to be fair - Glendon has sort of been a problem to this town. They were nice enough to tolerate him for the sake of baked beans (though they stood up to him), nice enough to him because his son was the star player (but like - they must have side eyed him because of the lengths Glendon Jr. had to go just to keep playing). But even him framing the partnership with the Norwegians as a steady paycheck for the whole town could not save him - he still went behind their backs.

And mind you - everyone has been freakishly antagonistic towards Martin, for simply being a grumpy town doctor. But these residents have fully committed to the bit of "He's OUR grumpy town doctor, and we kinda like him that way but we wish he could lighten up???".

So you have the case of two citizens: one so amiable enough that the town tolerates because they get something out of it, to the point that it gets abused. The other is seemingly so un-Port Wenn-ian that it's a miracle he's still staying, but by god does he always push through for everyone of them.

So yeah, Glendon basically will try to alienate Martin once more to the town - either by making his blood phobia known or having Elaine be in trouble that it causes the whole town to be against him.
