Again, I am really, really sorry that I haven’t been here.

Corrine expected to stay in the town long, just passing through on the way from collecting bounty. But when the explosive had gone off, she’d leapt into action. She had plenty of first aid training from her parents, so she was able to assist in treating people as well as rescuing survivors.

She was sat by the side of the Marshall, waiting for him to regain consciousness. “Marshall, my name is Corrine, I’m here to help.” Try not to move too much, I need to check nothing’s broken.” She explained as she watched him come around.

She looked over when he told her that he couldn’t see. “You can’t see anything? How many fingers?” She asked, holding up four fingers to test. “It might be that the brightness of the explosion caused you to go blind. Or there might be some debris in your eyes. Does it hurt to blink?”

“I don’t see any fingers.” He began before blinking his eyes several times and cursing through his teeth to mask a sound of pain. “Blinking... blinking hurts. Kriff....” he raised his other hand to instinctively rub his eyes before managing to stop himself.

“I can’t see a thing. Light... shapes... nothing.... Is everybody else okay?”

“ don’t touch him! ”

“ please, don’t hurt _____! ”
