Find The Beauty

I exist too much, I feel too much, think too much. Reality is crushing the life out of me.

I hope that someday, somebody wants to hold you for twenty minutes straight, and that’s all they do. They don’t pull away. They don’t look at your face. They don’t try to kiss you. All they do is wrap you up in their arms, without an ounce of selfishness in it.

This is love…isn’t it? When you notice someone’s absence and hate that absence more than anything? More, even, than you love [their] presence?

“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster… for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”

Life gives us choices. You either grab on with both hands and just go for it, or you sit on the sidelines.

Always defend your right to heal at your own pace. You are taking your time. You are allowed to take your time.

Home is not where you are from, it is where you belong. Some of us travel the whole world to find it. Others, find it in a person.

Things that matter are not easy. Feelings of happiness are easy. Happiness is not. Flirting is easy. Love is not. Saying you’re friends is easy. Being friends is not.

One of the most amazing things that can happen is finding someone who sees everything you are and won’t let you be anything less. They see the potential of you. They see endless possibilities. And through their eyes, you start to see yourself the same way as someone who matters. As someone who can make a difference in the world. If you’re lucky enough to find this person, never let them go.

It’s not hard to decide what you want your life to be about. What’s hard, she said, is figuring out what you’re willing to give up in order to do the things you really care about.

The ones who notice the storms in your eyes…the silence in your voice and the heaviness in your heart are the ones you need to let in.
