It was just always so easy with Marley, so familiar, and that was one of the many things he liked about her. She was just warm to him almost like a home in a way, and he let out a small chuckle as she poked fun at his tattoos, “Hey now, I try to look good all the time, but tonight is special. I had to dress up a bit for you…but you take the cake.” Phoenix confirmed, melting into her touch a bit as her hands explored the bits of exposed skin that he did have to offer. “That’s the plan, babe.” He teased, giving her another quick peck before shrugging as she shook him around a bit, following the movements, “Well, you deserve it. All of it.” His tone was a little more sincere than teasing now, and he glanced over to her once she sat down, grinning at the small squeal, “Call it whatever you want, tonight is all about me and you. Mostly you, but still.” Phoenix explained to her, taking a small swig of his champagne again, licking his lips as he let out a shaky breath, “I’m far from perfect, but for you, I’m trying my hardest. You can also thank Poppy for some of this, I asked for her advice on what you would like. Stay right there.” He said with a sheepish grin, walking over to the closet to pull out his guitar, a blush on the apples of his cheeks as he put it over his head to hang on his body, “I’m still new to all of this so, try not to judge me all that much, alright?”

Marley didn’t know many people when she first came onto the show. Phoenix was the one person whom she had an attachment with right from the start. She kinda loved that too much, he felt like a warm safe kinda thing for her. He surely knew her more than anyone in the house aside from Poppy of course. “Tonight is very much special, but no matter what you wear you are always gonna be the sexiest person I could ever lay my eyes on” she admitted softly giving his arm a squeeze as she pressed her lips to his shoulder. “Being giddy around you is my biggest weakness” she said smiling into his beck. “I only feel I deserve it if it’s lead by you” she said in a voice only he could hear, giving him a nudge as she met his eyes. Marley could be the cheesiest and happiest person in the world when she wanted to be but with Phoenix there beside her it made her all better. “You can’t say that-Valentines Day is supposed to be about both of us, which is why I got you something to celebrate the occasion but I will be paitent to give it to you” she said hinting. Of course she wouldn’t go a Valentines Day without giving her significant other something special. “I appreciate that... More than you know-but what on earth are you going on about?” She asked tilting her head in confusion, having no idea what he was doing as she watched him walk over and pull out the guitar. A confused smile pushed at her lips giving him a wink “I couldn’t judge you even if I tried.”

With Marley, Poppy had never felt judged. She didn’t have to worry about her getting mad or upset with her over something because she always felt respected by her. She was her best friend and the friendship that they had meant everything to her. “That’s what I thought.” She softly laughed with a smile as she headed and got to the bar with her. “Everyone would both hate us and want to be us.” She teased and nodded. “We are too pretty to go to jail, yes.”

Poppy was her best friend and someone Marley could always go to when she needed, she trusted her more than anyone else in the house. Of course it was a little hard sometimes considering they all lived on a reality show which was a massive struggle as the show practically screamed drama. “Pretty sure you are the girl who always knows what’s up” she teased with a smile pushing at her lips, leading Poppy over to one of the barstools she sat down opposite her. “It’s a funny kinda toxic relationship in that way” she said with a laugh falling from her lips. “So how has everything been going? Any new awesome updates?”

He was nervous, fuck, he felt like a fucking school boy with the nervous way his stomach flipped as he got closer to her. “You look beautiful.” Phoenix breathed out, shaking his head as he looked her over and took the hand not holding out the flowers to rest on her waist, sighing a bit as he looked at her face now, “Literally, you take my fuckin’ breath away every damn time.” He admitted, nibbling on his bottom lip, feeling the dimple sink into his slightly flushed cheeks before he leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to her lips. “I have dinner on the way, it’ll be here in like ten minutes. But until then…” Phoenix hummed as he made his way over to the champagne on ice, “Drinks. To a great night.” He explained, popping it open with a chuckle before pouring them both a glass and then handing it to her, “Cheers…” He was stalling because he felt like he might pass out any moment, this was important, and he didn’t want to mess it up, “Hopefully I got all this right so far, I’ve never really done the whole Valentines thing before.” Phoenix joked, taking a swig of his drink before sitting on the edge of the bed.

Marley didn’t know why a sudden happiness fell over her. She didn’t expect him to do any of this for her, but the fact that he was doing it with effort meant so much to her. “You don’t look bad yourself, better than the normal show off of tattoos anyway” she teased moving her hands over his inked skin. Meeting his eyes a smile pushed at her lips moving her hands through his hair. “You’re going to make me get all giddy which is what the cheesy people do” she said softly pressing her lips against his as she did smiling into their kiss. Shaking them playfully from side to side she shook her head “dinner? You really did make an effort for me didn’t you?” She said with a soft laugh falling from her lips. Following over as she sat down carefully trying not to mess up his work. “A date? Is it me or I can fall this our first?” She asked before letting out a little squeal at the pop since she was sure that was what people did when Champagne was poured. Taking the glass she lifted up her glass to cheers with him. Resting her hand on top of his as she may be able to read by now that something was up. “You have done perfect and you didn’t even need to, you are perfect” she admitted leaning over to bump her head softly against his shoulder as she took a sip of the drink. 

Considering they were roommates, it was fairly easy for Phoenix to set everything up to surprise Marley. He knew that people were talking, they constantly talked, about how he was handling whatever was going on between them. It was all so new to him, and he really didn’t want to mess things up. But it was Valentine’s Day, and it was a big deal, he certainly knew that. So, he laid out rose petals as soon as she could open the door, the bed was decked out with a huge rose printed heart on the bed. Phoenix just wanted to spend time with her, to talk to her, to figure all this out. He’d already postmated her favorite food, which was on the way, and he paced nervously in the room with her favorite flowers in his hands before he heard the door open and turned around. He was dressed nicely, a button down shirt, some slacks, chocolate waves pushed up and out of his face, “Surprise baby…” He said softly, making his way towards her and holding out flowers for her to take, “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

It was pretty interesting being roommates with Phoenix considering the last time they had roomed together. She didn’t have many expectations for Valentines Day, the two weren’t exactly a couple so it wasn’t a big deal. Even if they stayed in the house it would’ve been sweet enough. Walking out into the bedroom to find Phoenix she had obviously dressed up in the occasion in a red dress. She didn’t mind having to sweep up for the occasion and dress up in red, opening the door she was surprised at all the rose petals lying on the floor. A frown appeared on her face as a smile pushed against her lips. Seeing Phoenix a laugh fell from her lips “did I miss out on a special day?” She teased wrapping her arms around him. “I think you may be up there on the surprises Mr Hart” she said softly taking the flowers from him. “Happy Valentines Day baby.”

Marley had obviously put Phoenix through a lot in the past couple of weeks, and it didn’t exactly help with the fact that she got insecure, but it was hard being in a house with a bunch of beautiful girls that could steal his heart away at every moment. She was surprised no one has taken him away from her just yet, she had been a lousy... Whatever he called her that was his. And maybe even this week probably added a lot of pressure with V day just around the corner. It wasn’t like she expected anything from him on the day of course, she liked the pace they were going even if they couldn’t put a label on anything. She didn’t need anymore drama going on this week, which is why she chose to meet him out on the balcony. Deciding she owed him some form of apology she was able to roll up a joint and bring it out to him, seeing him on the balcony she wrapped her arms around him from behind pressing the joint against his lips as she reached. “I am sorry” she said softly nuzzling her head into his back. 

PHOENIX: i will be, i promised you that. and i want you to come and talk to me before jumping into these crazy conclusions made by some production company, okay?

PHOENIX: good, i'm glad you do. i've never done all that before. speaking of things i haven't done before, you free this upcoming friday?

PHOENIX: always think you're cute. now bring that cute ass out to the patio.

MARLEY: okay they're not crazy conclusions they're assumptions. but i won't go getting into it because we don't need that argument again

MARLEY: you didn't have to do that... especially for me- with things you've never done before. nothing seems to come to mind when it comes to friday why?

“I feel like that’s not true. You’re totally in the know about things. You’re like the cool kid around here.” Henry felt comfort from Marley’s arm around him and he shrugged. “I was embarrassed that I got a one night stand pregnant. Or at least I thought I did. And I just kind of wanted to keep it away from everyone. Her included.” He sighed. “It doesn’t really matter anymore though. Kid isn’t mine, and she still doesn’t want to talk to me. I really should just move on with my life.”

“It’s hard to say, due to a recent thing that’s happened. But your words mean everything to me, as they’re the supporting ones I never knew I needed” Marley admitted with a smile pushing at her lips. Rubbing on his furthest arm comfortingly she showed him sympathy in her eyes. “I am sure it happens to loads of people, one night stands happen right and left. It’s not your fault, it’s okay to be ashamed of something. But I promise you you’re not in the wrong, you were just trying to protect her. Which is completely understandable” she said softly. “Still, it’s a massive thing thinking you have a baby. Have you tried to grab her attention? See if there is any small glimmer of hope? It’s easier saying you’re gonna move on with your life rather than done, don’t lose all your chances just yet.”

The friendship with Marley was special because they didn’t have to say how much they loved, missed or meant to one another because they just knew even after all this time she hoped that she still knew how much she meant to her. “If you’re buying first round that means the second one will be on me.” She hummed with a smile as she held her arm with Marley’s. “I think it would be. I’d be scared of going to jail if I stopped missing you.” She joked with a soft laugh

Marley didn’t need anyone to tell her how important Poppy was in her life she just knew. They had been there for each other through the good times and the bad, she could have never thanked Poppy enough for just being in her life. She was one of the people who she really cared about with no regrets. “Sounds like an absolutely perfect plan” she said with a smile pushing at her lips as she lead her to the bar area. “Well if you’re going to jail then I would be in the cell right next to you, or if not then in the same cell. Though we are too pretty to go to jail” she teased. 

PHOENIX: i wouldn't have said where i was if i didn't...marley, you gotta realize that i'm not the type that isn't going to be honest with you. i told you im going to be 100 percent transparent with you, i meant it. so get your cute ass out here.

PHOENIX: i wrote a whole damn song about how much i want to be with you, obviously i do.

PHOENIX: what happened to my little optimistic ray of sunshine?? i would like her back please?

MARLEY: i always want you to be honest with me. even if it hurts but i am all yours when you want me to be... no one elses. i will have that tattooed on you next

MARLEY: and you know how much i love that song. more than you will ever know

PHOENIX: i'm still out on the patio...you know where to find me.

PHOENIX: it is your terms, always is. i can 100 percent tell you the other night wasn't meant to hurt you, i should've gave you a heads up i wasn't going to be there but, you know i am making it my top priority to not hurt you.

PHOENIX: well, without it, we wouldn't have had to talk to each other. or be where we are now, gotta look on the bright side i guess?

MARLEY: do you even want me to still come find you?

MARLEY: it's not always on my terms this is a two person type of thing. i know you never intended to... trust me that i know how it is when the alcohol hits. it shouldn't be your priority your priority should be just to be with me. life is too short to focus on the pain

With everyone on the show, Marley was always the main ones that Poppy could count on for just about anything, bring there, a distraction or just a good time with a best friend that she missed like crazy that it almost made her heart hurt. “Awe, I’d never pass up a drink with my girl that I missed so much too. We need to catch up on all things and stop this missing each other because it sucks ass not going to lie.”

Poppy was Marley’s best friend, she knew whatever happened in her life that she could always fall back on Poppy. Even with the time they had spent apart it wasn’t like anything had changed, and she always just wanted happiness for her best friend. Especially if she could be the reason for most of it. “We can do around of shots and I am happy to buy the first round” she offered with a laugh falling from her lips linking arms with Poppy. “I feel like it’s some kinda crime if you and I stop missing each other.”
