A recent post by a FB friend saying based on Trump and MAGA, he now understands how Hitler and Fascism came to power spurs me to create this post.

My wife and I were stationed in Germany during the early 70’s. Our Army colleagues advised us to not talk about Hitler, fascism, nor WWII with the local Germans because most of them were embarrassed about these items. However there was one woman in middle age, whose eyes became misty when talking about Hitler.

I fully expect 30 years from now most Americans will be embarrassed about Trump and MAGA. I also expect there will be a few middle age Trump and MAGA supporters.

A great new restaurant for me which vegetarians and pescatarians will both love, Blacksmith, Berlin, Maryland. I had a “BLT” soft shell crab sandwich which was a special offering today. The chef Christene Zegna is an artist.

Baja tacos with chilled corn salad. I had a delicious dinner last evening at Rusty Bucket. When I go to a restaurant new to me I usually try a favorite I have had at other restaurants. Fish tacos is such a favorite. Their version was great, akin to street food in San Diego or Baja. The tacos consisted of blackened redfish with pico de gallo, avocado lime crema, and cabbage, which was served with a very good corn salad. My only complaint was there was too much food for a 70 something guy but I finished all of it as it tasted great!

Shelley had a huge delicious pork tenderloin with French fries seasoned so well they rivaled my corn salad. In Indiana this is her favorite to try at restaurants new to her.
