Baja tacos with chilled corn salad. I had a delicious dinner last evening at Rusty Bucket. When I go to a restaurant new to me I usually try a favorite I have had at other restaurants. Fish tacos is such a favorite. Their version was great, akin to street food in San Diego or Baja. The tacos consisted of blackened redfish with pico de gallo, avocado lime crema, and cabbage, which was served with a very good corn salad. My only complaint was there was too much food for a 70 something guy but I finished all of it as it tasted great!

Shelley had a huge delicious pork tenderloin with French fries seasoned so well they rivaled my corn salad. In Indiana this is her favorite to try at restaurants new to her.

Rusty Bucket is a Cameron Mitchell restaurant chain which sources their food from the same suppliers that also supply Ocean Prime. I have eaten at the original Ocean Prime in Columbus, Ohio, the home of Cameron Mitchell restaurants.

Even though I love eating seasonal berries during the spring and summer, I love kiwi fruit. In particular I love golden kiwis.

We had the good fortune of spending some time on a kiwi farm during the growing season in New Zealand. Fascinating to learn how both the more common green and the more delicate golden ones are grown.

The best ice cream I have ever had was golden kiwi ice cream in New Zealand. Better than French vanilla!

A visit to Oinking Acres with my younger sister and her granddaughter. We come here regularly to enjoy the serene nature.
