I had the opportunity to be in Dancerâs Studio Westâs rehearsal process in Calgary for two weeks. I stayed with the ever generous Wilde family, who took me in as their own and brought me to mountains.

If youâre looking for cafe, travel, and style aesthetics - look no further because Carla and Brian will become your new inspirations. Hereâs a peek at these two personalities Iâm grateful to have shot.
@carla_kristina  Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world She took the midnight train going anywhere...
@i3rian27Â And evil takes a human form in Brian. Don't be fooled, because he may seem like your typical selfish, back-stabbing, slut-faced ho-bag. But in reality, he is so much more than that.
It's not unusual for us to be leaving the house past midnight.
The other night, we ventured out into the night in search of light. "What time is it?" "Does it even close?" "Hold on, let me just charge my battery a bit and we can get going." We sit in our usual spots, he drives, I claim the seat beside his and they chill in the back. Connecting and reconnecting as we drive past radio towers - eventually, something triggers and a conversation sparks.
"Hey, do you have a GPS? Should I borrow one from a friend?"
We're planning to drive across the country. To where the mountains meet the ocean, where we'll discover new adventures.. I can't wait. This is just a warm up - Midnight Drive #0811 - or somewhere in that ballpark; it's an estimate.
"Hey Fran, can you hold that for a sec?"
"Thanks - Hey... you okay?"

Last week, I had the opportunity to fly out to Ottawa for the Canada Dance Festival.
Along with my peers, the 3rd and the graduating classes of the School of Contemporary Dancers, our piece 1935, choreographed by Robert Desrosiers became one of the pieces in the collaborative work Timeframe. The collaboration was between four different dance institutions in Canada; L'Ecole de Danse de Quebec, The School of Dance: Contemporary Dance Programme, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre and The School of Contemporary Dancers and featured "50 dancers".
Working with these talented emerging artists was magical. All week, I was in awe of the caliber of their talent and drawn by their magnetic personalities. Each person had their own unique journey and for one week, we were able to share the stage before many of them take on the stage of life as professional artists.
As a second year student invited to the festival, I have the unique opportunity to return in 2 years for #CDF2018;Â where I hope to reunite with the lovely people I met this year, and to make new memories with new ones.
