One of the biggest burdens that fathers face is the internal dialogue that can plague them about their place in this world and the value they bring to their family. This is a burden that fathers can carry with them for years. It is a burden that can be lifted by the love and support of their family. The father’s role in the family is one of great value and importance. The father must be willing to step up to the plate and take on the responsibility of being a good father, regardless of his own perceived shortcomings or failures in life. He must be willing to make sacrifices for his family, even when it means giving up things that he wants for himself. He must be willing to provide for his family and protect them from harm, even if it means putting himself at risk or doing something that he doesn’t want to do. He must be willing to teach his children how they should behave and what they should expect from others in this world. He must be willing to give his children an example that they can follow as they grow into adults themselves. In order to do all of these things, however, he must first believe in himself and have confidence in who he is as a person. This internal dialogue about who he is as a man can plague him if he allows it to grow out of control and begin controlling him instead of allowing him to control it. This internal dialogue can also cause him anxiety about what other people think about him as well as about how successful he will be at being a good father for his children. This anxiety can cause him stress which will affect not only his ability to perform in his role as father and partner; but cause him internal pain which is unneeded. This Mind F*ck may be easily controlled - by gaining command and control of your brain and mastering his mind. To master your body you practice physical fitness, the same goes with mental fitness. Keep it real.
