Mark Dear

Completed another painting this evening. I'm focusing on myself and how I feel about my new body of work done before sharing it with the world - but yeah feels great to not overthink, to grow and improve as a self taught artist.

1st crit during my studio programme didn't hit for me, I didn't take away anything, I think it was too early in my time the programme - it had only been about 2 months in. However! The 2nd crit I had recently, was more honest and has inspired me to work to my strengths and get out of my head and thoughts more. I completed a painting straight after the crit - one sit in, which is rare for me but not anymore!

I saw this fly uncle today waiting at the bus stop. He was wearing a yellow silk shirt, light brown rectangle sunglasses, smart trousers shiny brown shoes, carrying a child's small Spiderman backpack.
