          wolfram watched with silent understanding as the YOUNG HERALD puffed out her chest and stood her ground, despite the faint waver in her voice. ( nina used to do the same thing when she knew she was in trouble but vehemently defended her stance. ) no, the maker did not send this child, surely it was ANDRASTE. she was far too good to be a puppet at the end of his strings. could wolfram afford to believe such a thing? maybe, maybe not. his position on the matter seemed rather MINIMAL, regardless of personally held views on whether or not she really was holy. DIVINITY was far too grand; she was focused on improving the here and now, and that was worthy of a cause if anything.

          slowly he held up a hand, face stern, and pointed towards her as if he could TOPPLE her over and deflate her entire position with the singular gesture. but he didn’t. his face softened, ALMOST a smile, and his point held no authority or belittlement. ❝  you are wiser than most GROWN MEN i know.  ❞ no flattery nor exageration needed, wolfram was a man of NEITHER. all he spoke was the truth, pure and simple, yet rarely uplifting.

          his hands came to rest over the pommel of his sword, head tilting ever so slightly and his gaze wandered towards the general direction of the CHANTRY. ❝  if only others were so.  ❞ ah but his melancholy was of no use to her and he resumed his strict attention. ❝  i do not trust all that follow you, but should YOU ever need a templar at your service i’m sure one of your agents will be able to find me.  ❞

       evee’s eyes scanned his movements and made no effort to hide how obvious she was being. what she wished she had hid was the FLINCH when he reached for his sword, or in other words, let his hands rest on the hilt of his sword. it didn’t matter who he was now, he still carried the demeanor of a templar. and as much as she tried her best to stifle that fear, there was still that childish part of her brain that always told her to run the other direction.

       eyes narrowed as he seemed to compliment her. she wasn’t sure whether or not to believe in his words, but when it finally set in evee grinned widely, missed spots of BLOOD still adorning her cheeks. ‘ wait, truly? ‘ she asked, left feeling a bit astounded at her skills of persuasion. evee would need to run back to skyhold and brag about it to cassandra. she would be so proud.

                               ❝ Does it hurt still? ❞  she asks,  and waits only for confirmation or denial before she continues.  ❝ May I take a look? ❞

It’s a magic unlike any she’s seen before ; a sentiment expressed widely in the past few days.  That does not keep her from clasping her other hand over Evelyn’s,  magic flowing in an attempt to lessen the pain,  even a little.  ❝ I am… truly sorry this fell to you.  Should you need anything,  every single one of us are behind you. ❞

       evee didn’t mind the curiosity that many held for the mark on her hand as much as she thought she would. although it sometimes made her feel like andraste’s little science experiment gone wrong, it was still far better than but hollered hateful words and curses like many had done. what she feared was the questions she was unable to ANSWER with confidence.

       still, at least she was the most interesting one in the camp. she was always an especially boring girl in school and even in ostwick’s circle. no one, not even some of the boys ever paid much attention to her.

OKAY but taking thaT last post and dialing it to ONE HUNDRED. if evee was given and able to keep the dragon flemeth gives her, she’d be totally delusional as to the repercussions of having your life owned by a god.
