For now, let me try and explain why they’re a bit all over the place color-wise.  I wanted the PNGs to reflect what the blank PSD looks like, so I decided to take the PSDs and convert them into PNGs without touching the colors. I personally agree it would look better if everything was the same color, but the blank PSDs were all already in place (except for a few exceptions), and I don’t have the necessary permissions to upload or replace PSDs. Therefore, I could not adjust the colors on both the PSDs and PNGs.  And of course, doing it this way was also faster than making them all the same color, leaving time for me to do other site work. For all I knew, I was the only user who felt that making all images the same color would look better?

If more users find this to be a bit of an eyesore, I’ll happily go back and make them all more-or-less the same blue-ish hue. However, that does mean the PNGs won’t match the PSDs color-wise. Also, keep in mind that they’ll never all go as neatly together as linearts that were released together (like the Zashoo and Stellata), as the style of our genera has changed slightly over the years (just try opening the Oakl’s PSD and compare it to that of the Wiglen, for example). But if this is what our users want me to spend my time on, then I’ll be happy to comply!

So I noticed in a post some one else here made that they pointed out the whole bad grammar is again TOS.  Now I have heard this before, but I thought it was just in regards to chat speak.  Is this something that is really reinforced?  

It’s one thing if you have a 100% English speaking user base, or if you are just trying to stop people from using chat speak… but not every one can read or write well in English.  I know that it’s not my first language and I have a learning disability.  Will I get in trouble for posting in the forums or replying to a news post and typing something incorrectly that spell check did not pick up?  I mean that kind of seams unfair that I could be punished because of how I write when I don’t even know that what I wrote was incorrect…  And again… I rely on spell check which google is good at, but does not always pick the correct word which might make the problem worse… because we all know auto-correct fails a lot… there are some times that when I try to write a word spell check has no idea what it is so I just have to go with the version I know is not spelled correctly.  

We realize not all aywas users are native English speakers (neither am I!), and we won’t be banning anyone for forgetting to dot their i’s anytime soon. If anything, the rule was put into place to make sure that your posts are easily understood. Especially for of us non-native English speakers (is that a word?), muddy grammar and loads of misspelled words can easily cause confusion as to what the speaker/poster is trying to say exactly. And in a community that’s heavily geared towards art and buying/selling it (with site currency AND RL money), it’s important to make sure misunderstandings are limited to a minimum as much as possible.

Like half the links on the site pointing to other help resources are broken. Please fix those if you want to avoid stupid n00b questions.

When we de-cluttered all the “admin threads” (the majority of which can now be found in the Admin Hub subforum), we forgot that this would break a lot of links in the Knowledge Base and other info sources. It’s hard to track down all the pages with broken links, but whenever we come accross one we do make a point to fix the link.

I’m stuck on the East River, I can’t move on at all - what level do I need to be at the East River in order to move to the next level?

The level you need to be to “complete” an area is always lvl 15. If a quest is too hard, you can always reject it. Yes, you do lose a (few? can’t remember, been too long) levels, but it’s better than being stuck.

 So Sharni wanted to ask you guys your opinion on something. Sharni has three commissions she is waiting on through the commission panel. She knows the knowledge base says all work should be completed in a month but she has got 2 commissions (that have been taken on by the artists) sitting from the 4th November and 1 from the 9th November?

Prompt:  Anubis and  Egyptian colors only. Now the PSD already had a full black body like Anubis so I assumed they had that one already so after I looked up some traditional art for Anubis I went with that (which showed black Anubis head on a human body). Made the body in more of the brown/gold in the body colors from the depictions and can’t leave things to simple XD so I went with adding hieroglyphic like background on the body.
