Now, that doesn’t make Amity’s actions okay, and she definitely knew it was wrong to let Boscha and the others bully Willow- Willow’s psyche clearly suffered. But I think it adds a level of nuance to Amity’s interactions with Willow, that maybe she thinks she’s hurting Willow ‘for her own good’, and how this kind of sentiment has clearly been passed down to Amity by her parents. And due to being autistic, Amity assumes that Willow automatically understands where she’s coming from, in addition to having this kind of toxicity be normalized to her since birth.
