Chapter 1: Hera has a brand new law.

Being the Goddess of Family and Queen of the Gods was a constant headache for Hera, lots of Gods having multiple demigods – some outside marriage – around there without even thinking of the consequences. That domain had weakened, declining because of the parenting negligence. So as to reaffirm her domain, she decided to start a new project. A project that included 18 Gods and their hundreds of kids.

[ It all started in Mount Olympus ...]

– You can't be serious! – the King of the Gods exclaimed, outraged.

– Not only can I, but I'm serious about it. You had plenty of fun in the mortal world for the past centuries, but I had enough. – Hera answered handing over to Zeus the 2-year-old Thalia. – If you're going to spread kids outside the wed, then have the decency to raise them.

Zeus held Thalia in his arm, still astonished by Hera's response. In all his years, his wife would to turn a blind eye at or tormented the lives of his demigods, the King didn't understand where all this sudden change came from. Hera smiled while she swayed baby Jason on her arms, holding him tenderly, just like she did once with Ares.

– Honey, is this personal?

– Of course it is personal. Your children, your responsibility. – she handed the sleeping infant to him as well. – Keep your cool, you won't be the only God that will face this.

With that said, she turned around and left the palace, leaving her husband with the two children. A brief silence fell upon there while Zeus felt his kids weight on his arms. Thalia looked at her dad woth curiosity, messing with his beard, earning a deep sigh from him. Zeus walked towards the open gardens of the palace with his responsibilities. That was an utterly outrage to the non-interference law, to his authority. It didn't took long for him to see his daughter Hebe sat down on one of the marble benches nearby the fountain, she had a little one on her lap that she looked at with admiration and a loving gaze.

– Hebe, dear, did your mother also talked to you about... this? – he asked, clearly referring to the half-divine kids.

– Yes, you know, I thought that it was a good idea. Now I can tale care of my children freely. – she replied, the baby on her lap shook a small rattle that he held, babbling with pure happiness.

The King frowned his eyebrows, feeling a small stab on his divine authority. Until he remembered of the small bundle of life tossing slightly in his comfortable sleep on his arms. He felt a pang on his chest when he remembered of the problems he was carrying on his arms.

"This is ridiculous... Hera has gone mad. I can't accept this." he thought to himself as he adjusted the kids on his arms. Meanwhile, Thalia seemed more interested in climbing her way to her father's shoulders than paying attention to the grey clouds forming around.

Having a family isn't easy. Raising a demigod is even harder.

• Means rarely having his presence in the physical world, but he can be caring and make sure you're safe and sound when you're sleeping and on his realm;

• Means receiving weird gifts during random times with either little to no explanation or with gibberish explanations for you to decipher;

• Means that whenever you're feeling insomniac due to a nightmare, inner fears or visions, an aromatic fog shows up in your cabin that helps you calm down – lavender scented and you never question where it comes from;

• Means having a special pass in the Underworld due to your uncle being Thanatos;

• Means that you're constantly underestimated because of your powers – but there's no other spy better than a child of Hypnos;

• Means having the mythical creatures a bit wary around you due to your lineage and powers;

• Whenever you feel way overstimulated, his palace is the best place to stay and he greets you with open arms – or fluffy pillows in this case;

• Means that he's always busy – sleeping – and every time you try to talk serious to him, he just mutter some words, fall asleep for 20 seconds and wakes up again to continue what he was saying – and this same order repeats until he finishes talking or just quit and return to his deep sleep;

• Means that death is part of your family – literally – and Thanatos presence doesn't affect you the same way it does to others;

• Means that you're more active during night than daytime – since Hypnos put the world to sleep during night and then rests during the day, it's natural that his children would have this trait;

• Means that the gods rarely send you to quests due to your father's neutral nature – despite him being a benevolent god, his mind is unpredictable.
