Mae walked with a pep in her step. Yuta and Mae were walking back to their hotel after their mini tour around Tokyo. Considering that Mae had never been to Japan before, Yuta wanted to take her around the city.
“Ahhh that was so fun.” Mae said stretching. They walked around the whole day so Mae was feeling a little tired from their adventure.
“I’m surprised you haven’t asked for a piggy back ride yet.” Yuta said amused, walking beside her.
“I’m not that tired but if you’re offering...”
“The opportunity has passed but next time.”
Mae pouted but pressed on. As she walked, she felt entranced by all the lights surrounding her.
Pictures could never compare when you see and walk around the whole thing. She was so distracted she didn’t even notice the person in front of her until she bumped into them.
“I’m sorry!” Mae said, quickly apologizing to whoever she bumped into. She heard the boy start to apologize but slowly came to a stop when she lifted her head up.
Looking at him closely, the first thing she noticed was his short blond hair and his emerald green eyes. The second thing she noticed was the starstuck look in his eyes. Noticing Yuta beside her, his eyes got widered.
Fans usually had the same expression when they noticed one of them. Not that she minded, as long they were respectful of their boundaries.
“Ah, you’re NCT.” He stuttered out. It was actually really cute how starry-eyed he was.
“Guilty as charged.” Mae said, rubbing the back of her neck with a sheepish smile. Strange enough, Mae felt like she he recognized her from somewhere.
Narrowing her eyes, she tried to rack her brain to remember who he was. The boy drew back noticing her gaze.
“Uh, did I do something wrong?”
“Aha!” Mae exclaimed, as a lightbulb lit up in her head. “You’re ALKALOID’s Aira Shiratori, right?”
“You know who I am?” Aira said in disbelief, wondering how someone like Mae would know someone like him.
“Ah, he was one of the members of that band you couldn’t stop blasting the music too.” Yuta said amused.
“Exactly! I loved listening to you guys sing Kiss of Life!” Mae said, grabbing his hands on instinct. In her excitement, she barely noticed that that the boy froze or the fact that she was speaking Korean.
“Miyoung I think you’re scaring him.” Yuta said, pulling her back from the poor boy. He wasn’t even speaking coherent sentences, more like broken words. He swore he heard a “I don’t understand Korean” among it.
“Ah sorry!” Mae said, letting Aira’s hands go, prompting him to move again. “I guess I was a little too excited.”
“It’s fine, I was just a little surprised.” Aira said, a little dazed at the encounter. He couldn’t believe this was happening to him.
Mae checked her watch and her eyes widened. Her and Yuta were supposed to be back at the hotel room soon.
“Ah! We have to get back to the hotel soon, but is it okay if we could take a photo real quick?”
“You want to take a picture with me?!?”
“Of course!!!”
After a stuttered “Yes,” the group shuffled to the side to take a quick photo on both of their phones. Aira wanted to speak more, but a call from his name distracted him.
“Thank you and I hope to see you again! ALKALOID Fighting!”
Aira could only watch as the two watch away waving before disappearing in the crowd. He didn’t even realize he standing in the same spot until his red-haired friend went beside him.

“Ahhhhhh! I can’t believe what happened!!!” Aira exclaimed. “I never want to wash these hands ever again!!”
“Isn’t that unsanitary?” Hiiro said confused. He just wanted to find his friend after he wandered off. “Who was that anyways?”

Now that I’m less sleep deprived, I can say while Haechan was upset that he missed RenMae first kiss, the group had the time of their lives teasing them when they woke up

“All I want for Christmas is you~”
Mae hummed as the song played in the background, making hot chocolate in the kitchen. Christmas had always been one of her favorite holidays, so what better way to celebrate than to hang some decorations.
The Dreamies were having a little party together at the dorm to celebrate their a successful year without their older members.
Mark, Haechan and Mae had to escape from their older members so they could all have the time together with the eight of them.
Wrapping paper was stuffed into a bag after they opened their presents. While there were a few gag gifts, like Chenle giving Jaemin a cup with strawberries on it, all the other presents were very sweet and appreciated.
Everyone was spread around the living room, choosing to sit on the couch or on the floor.
Mae placed the hot chocolate on the table, making her way onto the couch as she watched Chenle and Jisung argue about what Christmas movie to watch.
It’s been almost ten years since the two met and they haven’t changed in the slightest.
"Just choose one already!” She heard Mark exclaim, a hint of fondness in his voice.
Mae took her spot next to Renjun, taking a sip of her drink before cuddling next to him.
“I don’t think we’re gonna be watching anything soon.” She whispered, watching as a soft smile form on his face.
“I had a feeling this would happen.”
In the corner of her eye, Mae could see Haechan and Jaemin whisper to each other, pointing at her and Renjun every so often with a grin. Haechan seemed to be holding something behind his back.
She nudged Renjun and gestured towards the two, making him narrow his eyes towards the duo.
Ever since Mae and Renjun got together, everyone has been making it their mission to tease them or express digust towards the two.
Before they could do anything, Haechan disappeared to the hallway, probably going back to hide whatever he was holding.
If the grin Jaemin had said anything, she knew that it wasn’t something good.
But it was Christmas, so she could let something like that go for now.
Eventually Chenle and Jisung settled for The Grinch, moving their way to their spots on the floor.
Jeno quickly turned off the music and settled to his spot next to Haechan, who had came back empty handed and stole some popcorn.
It didn’t take long for everyone to get sleepy, the movie quickly becoming background noise.
Mae yawned as she stepped over a snoring Jisung, turning off the TV.
As much as she was tempted to go back to the couch, she preferred going back to the comfort of her bed.
Considering the look on Renjun’s face, who seemed to be the only one awake, he seemed to think the same.
Mae leaned towards him as they walked back to their rooms, stopping in front of her bedroom.
Just as she was about to say goodnight, she noticed something hanging on her doorframe.
A single clover of mistletoe hovered about Mae and Renjun.
That must have been what Haechan was hiding earlier before the movie.
Mae’s eyes darted from the mistletoe to a flustered Renjun, who was rubbing the back of his neck.
“Well, we can’t exactly avoid tradition, can we?” Mae blurted out, suddenly wide awake.
Despite being a couple for a few months already, the two of them hadn’t had their first kiss yet. There simply wasn’t a good time and place for it to happen.
She was about to apologize before she felt a hand rest on her cheek, looking up to see Renjun gazing at her softly.
Time seemed to slow down as the two of them leaned closer to each other.
The kiss was short and sweet. Mae wrapped her arms around his neck as he put his hands around her waist to bring her closer.
Mae felt a grin form on her face as she felt Renjun smile into the kiss.
When they broke apart, she couldn’t help the lovesick expression on her face while she looked at Renjun.
“Well, that was a great Christmas present.” Renjun said, making Mae giggle.
“As pleasant as that was, I think it’s time for me to sleep.” Mae said, walking into her room.
Renjun followed after her, the two of them settling comfortably on Mae’s bed. He gave her a kiss to her head as he pulled her closer to him.
Mae closed her eyes and buried her head into his chest.
Byeol plopped onto the floor when the choreographer ended their dance practice.
Byeol wouldn’t call herself someone who tires easily.
If anything, she could be on the same levels of everyone else when it comes to energy.
Today seemed like a good day to counter that argument.
Maybe it was because she didn’t have a lot of sleep last night, but Byeol seemed a bit more tired than usual.
And when Byeol gets tired, she gets more cuddly then usual.
Byeol closed her eyes, wanting to take a few moments to catch her breath.
After a few moments, she felt a poke to her side.
She opened one of her eyes, seeing Hyunjin extending one of his arms towards her.
Byeol immediately grabbed it, grunting as he pulled her up and latched onto his body.
Hyunjin gave a slight tug to separate them, to no avail.
“You know you have to let go so we can get our stuff.”
“....”
He sighed as he saw Byeol pout, already accepting his fate.
It wasn’t like he hated Byeol’s clinginess. Every member has had this happen to them at least once and while they appreciated the affection, it did make things a bit inconvenient.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get your guys’ stuff.” Chan said, patting his back and ruffling Byeol’s head.
By now Byeol had shifted behind him, pressing her head onto Hyunjin’s back.
He gestured her to jump on his back for a piggy back ride, which she gratefully accepted.
Byeol snuggled into his neck, tightening her grip on him as Hyunjin adjusted himself.
“I’m sorry for being clingy.” She whispered into his ear.
“It’s okay. We know how tired you are.” Hyunjin whispered as they walked towards the elevator.
He knew that Byeol wasn’t able to sleep well lately, so he was going to help all he could to make sure she was getting the rest she deserved.
Byeol nodded and closed her eyes.
Hyunjin could hear her breath steady as she slowly fell asleep and little snores filled the air.
A gentle smile appeared on his face as the group made their way downstairs and towards their car. They moved slowly, trying their best not to way the sleeping girl on his back.
It was times like this where Hyunjin forgets that Byeol is older than him.
He was very happy that he was someone that she could rely on, even on small moments like this.

The white of her walls seemed to be mocking her as she couldn’t find it in herself to go to bed.

Melody turned over and looked at her clock, groaning as the glaring 3AM stared right back at her.
She was glad Eric got rid of that demon alarm that shook the entire dorm.
Melody didn’t understand why she couldn’t sleep.
She even tried to count sheep but that didn’t work either.
Melody sighed and got up from bed, tiptoeing her way outside her room.
The boys were asleep in their rooms and considering that they shared the rooms, compared to Melody having her own, she didn’t want to risk waking the entire dorm up.
She quietly shuffled to the kitchen, searching for something to eat for a late night meal.
Was ramen at 3AM a bad idea?
In her sleep deprived state, Melody didn’t seem to care as she opened the pack and quietly cooked her ramen.
To her credit, she was surprised how quiet she managed to be while cooking the ramen on the stove.
When she deemed her ramen ready, she turned off the stove and put the ramen in a bowl, crouching down on the floor to eat her food.
Melody hummed, satisfied with how her 3AM meal tasted.
“What are you doing?”
She nearly choked on her noodles when she heard the voice behind her, whipping her head around to see a concerned Jacob standing behind her.
“Why are you here?” Melody whispered, getting up from her position and placing her bowl on the counter.
“I heard you in the kitchen and wanted to know what you were doing.”
“What are Superman or something?”
The pointed look he gave her was enough for her to know he was serious.
“I couldn’t sleep so I thought it would be a good idea to get a snack.” Melody admitted. She was never able to lie to Jacob often.
“You should tell us if you’re having trouble sleeping,” Jacob said softly, examining the bags forming under her eyes,”It’s not good if this happens often.”
“I know...”
Jacob was silent for a moment and Melody could tell that he was deep in thought.
“How about I sing you a lullaby?” Jacob offered, cutting her off before she could snap him out of his daydream.
“I’m 22, not an 8 year old.” Melody said to him.
“C’mon, think of it like we’re back as trainees.” Jacob said, ruffling Melody’s hair with a smile.
Melody felt the corner of her lips rise for a second.
She used to have trouble sleeping as a trainee, more so than now, despite being exhausted from all the practice she did to prepare for their debut.
Yet, whenever Jacob sang to her, he always managed to lull her to sleep.
Her sleeping got better as more time past so Melody didn’t need it, but it seemed that today was an exception.
“But the dishes-”
“I can wash them after you go to bed.” Jacob persuaded, tugging her towards her room.
Despite her silent protests, Melody allowed him to drag her to her room and tuck her into her bed.
“I feel like a kid again.” She said amused, snuggling into her blanket.
“You act like it despite being only one year younger than me.”
Melody slapped Jacob playfully, the man chuckling as he sat down on Melody’s bed.
She closed her eyes when Jacob started singing, focusing on the boy’s soft voice.
