Um... Preservation's power? I think? I'm not an expert on allomancy, I'm afraid. Few allomancers really are. We just do what comes naturally, and then hone those instincts with practice.

You're not broken for thinking differently than her, or me. We'll just find something that works for you! Scientific diagrams can be art! The symmetry of plant growth can be art! And then there's all the theory behind what I do, too. There's books on color composition, and anatomy, and angles and perspective. A lot that I'm still learning, too.
If you want to start from a place of understanding, you can absolutely study first.
Are there any Allomancy researchers at the university? Or toe-mind researchers? Maybe they're related...

There are! I haven't talked to them, but I've read their flyers and such. Always have to keep an eye out for someone who pays for help with experiments! Those people might be able to help you out with the questions about the gods, too. Unless you want me to ask further up the chain of knowledge!
Saze? He was... kind, and astute. Sharp-minded and quicker on his feet than most people expected of him. He had a stubborn streak to him, like everyone in the rebellion. And he had a staggering amount of sass, sometimes. He really knew how to make fun of someone while still sounding somehow polite.

I don’t mind at all, Adolin was a handful too when he was little so I know how it can be. besides I missed a lot of watching my boys grow up due to being in dead wife purgatory. I want to be able to see other people’s children grow up a little bit.
... I feel something... vaguely similar. There's some teens that come help with the smaller ones, or for art lessons, and it makes me think of Vin and Lestibournes. I would have liked to know them like that.
It's nice to get to have that with these kids though.

I'm glad no one nowadays thinks I actually betrayed Kelsier, but I wish they didn't have whole historical studies on what happened to me during the weeks we were separated, before they sent me after him to the Pits. You do not want to know.

I don't think we can stop them. Facts would probably help but I... *shudders* I won't.
My only other idea is literal divine interference to intimidate them into stopping, but I also don't want to be someone who stops people from speaking freely.

... I've considered it, but I haven't been able to come up with a convincing enough story. Anything that's plausible needs to be suitably horrifying, and that... comes too close to the truth at times.
I also haven't told anyone about it, and I don't want them hearing a painful lie and being unsure how much of it's made up.

ooc: some Mare childhood and youth headcanons
- she had two loving parents as a child who ran a little shop in the city
- when she was ten, her father was beaten to death by a nobleman's guard for daring to speak to him in "the wrong tone", this caused Mare to Snap
- she and her mother both ended up on the streets and started working for thief crews to make a living. they learned quickly and were very successful, especially once Mare began to understand her allomancy
- when Mare was fifteen, her mother set off on a long-prepared revenge mission against the nobleman who had killed her husband. she failed and was publicly and gruesomely excuted
- Mare joined the rebellion immediately after this, and soon met Marsh who was only a few years older than her, still in his teens and just as angry. they often worked together due to their allomantic abilities complementing each other
- Kelsier is a year younger than her and had a crush on her basically from day one. He helped her a lot with perfecting her noblewoman impression!
