The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

explanation for the first one is just that it’s implied good kid The Band the actual people also exist in-universe and. well they have songs called ‘nomu’ and ‘mimi’s delivery service’. which might be moot bc in the Wall music video they are shown at a good kid concert and they have a set list of songs that either don't exist, Aren't Quite the names of their actual songs, or were placeholder names for then-unreleased songs. and in that same mv rebel is writing the lyrics for ‘rift’ iirc. so neo-to good kid might have entirely different songs. but It’s Joke don't take it too serious. also after drawing that i have (albeit partially external) ‘evidence’ of a possible trans reading on gentu. but i thought leaving it as “[idk what to have him say here]” was funny
