There is a quiet kind of pain in hearing people assume that you got married because you were pregnant—as if love needed a reason, as if commitment only comes when forced by circumstance.

Our first night arranging things in our home. Today was the official turnover of our unit from the contractor, and it still feels surreal. I can’t believe we finally have a place of our own— where we can continue to build our dreams and our family.

Just last year, I never imagined being with someone, or being loved by someone like him. I hope I can always treasure these quiet, little moments with him. I hope this feeling stays with me forever.

Choosing your partner is not always easy, and loving does not always feel gentle.

I left to Him my doubts and fears,

with a fragile plea to not take it away.

There’s joy when it is said “Everything’s fine”

And in that moment, heaven sighed with me,

as grace rewrote what fear designed.

Yet this day still carries quiet sorrow,

for it’s the birthday of the one I lost —

I know that in life everything’s borrowed

it still hurts though the bridges crossed.

So here I am — both scarred and shining,

cradling hope with trembling hands.

Faith may waver, hearts are mending,

but still — I trust the One who plans.

For even through the blood and breaking,

through grief and grace entwined,

I know His love is holding us —

both the one I lost,

and the one still mine.

Heartbeat

Today, we heard our baby’s heartbeat for the very first time — the tiniest sound, yet it filled the whole room with love. In that moment, everything felt real. Our hearts beat together as one, and I knew mine would forever beat for them — for our little miracle, and for the man beside me who made this love possible. 💓

And here’s the most magical part — our baby’s estimated arrival is on our very first anniversary. The universe truly has a beautiful way of celebrating love. ✨
