Time Lapse of the Land Taken From Native Americans
via reddit
I will reblog this EVERY GODDAMN TIME so people can understand how the US government taking more and more land from Natives is nothing new (even the land originally promised after being kicked off their original, sacred lands) and they NEED to be fucking stopped. They need to be held accountable for the destruction of our people not just then but also now.
The way that yâall⌠take black phrases and sayings, misinterpret them.. then flip then around and demonize us for using them because you never understood them in the first place is soâŚâŚ

Just so other trans people knowâŚ. asking trans people in relationships with cis people why they arenât t4t is highly inappropriate and disgusting to ask. You arenât entitled to encroaching on someone elseâs boundaries simply because youâre nosy and entitled. You arenât entitled to another trans personâs body simply because youâre attracted to them.
White trans ppl especially should internalize this shit.
We donât let just anybody touch our crown. Itâs a special exchangeâbrushing, touching, laughing, weaving our history. Head tilting, oil dropping, love flowing. Massaging out the worries. Twisting faith into our being. Unwinding centuries of hurt; warm, greased hands repairing. The dresser mends. Palms telling the story of Black beauty and progression. The comb is holy, the brush is a tool of the supernatural, the fingers are blessed.

Breaking eye contact makes you a better conversationalist. Studies show people who are forced to maintain eye contact take longer to recall words than those who are allowed to take a break from the mental stimulation of staring into someone elseâs eyes. Though maintaining eye contact is important for building emotional connections, looking away is key for having focused and productive conversations. Source Source 2
âIn early-colonial Australia, invading colonisers regularly marvelled at the local environmentâs park-like aspect, counting themselves multiply blessed that ânatureâ (including divine providence) should have come to furnish them with ready-made grazing runs. In fact, the Australian landscapeâs benign aspect was the cumulative consequence of millennia of Indigenous management, in particular the use of fire to reduce undergrowth and to contain spontaneous conflagrations within local limits. Within a few years of Europeans taking over the country and discontinuing Native fire-management practices, the current cycle of massive bushfire disasters was set in train. The land that settlers seize is already value-added. There is no such thing as wilderness, only depopulation.â
