I guess I miss the whole being there for someone and them being there for me

And I miss the affectionate part

But I love being single and hanging with friends and enjoying my time to myself and enjoying the time out with buddies and staying out late and going for drives and looking out on the city view from the hills.

Of course I can do all this with a girlfriend.

But I worry I might find someone that will just stress me out and try to control my freedom😕

Maybe I just want a fling? Not a relationship?

IDK.

no rush anyways.. I should just enjoy my freedom time to myself and friends and family.

So since the age of around 12 (I’m 21 now) I’ve had a doppelganger that many of my family members, friends, and myself have seen. It’s always really scared me but the thought that this is a real person that just looks disturbingly like me has always semi grounded me. My father even interacted with her one day when I’d ‘ran away’ from home after school, he’d been looking round for me and then found this girl at a bus stop on the country lane, who he tried to get into his car believing it was me, she didn’t say a word to him this whole time this was happening and eventually he got a weird feeling and left.

Fast forward about 7 years, anyone I’ve got close to over that time has mentioned similar experiences of trying to talk to my doppelganger and realising it isn’t me.

However now I’m beyond terrified. I’m submitting this to see if anyone else has had a similar experience and can offer me some insight. I had my best male friend round on Saturday night. We’d been playing in the snow outside of my house with my dog for around 20 minutes,( he was stood in my doorway the entire time I feel I should add) when we decided to retreat inside. When you enter my house you can look right down all the way into the last room which is a bathroom ( it goes doorway, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom). So he heads off for a wee, and I go into the dining room to get changed into my pjs which had been warming on the radiator. About 2 minutes pass and he starts walking back towards the living room, almost straight past me, and staring at the front door the whole time. He then heard me move and looked like he’d seen a ghost, grabbed onto the door frame and then looked back towards the front door. He told me I was stood at the front door and how had I got to where i was stood, he honestly looked petrified. Immediately the doppelganger sprung to mind and so I asked if he saw my face and he said he had and I looked like I was trying to say something. I don’t feel any evil presence in my house but I’m unsure as to what this all means, help if you can.

For a while my father and step-mother lived in an old house with a lot of land outside of Fresno. It was weird and just never a place I enjoyed spending time at whenever I visited. It was hard to sleep just because of all the strange quiet noises would bug me whenever I tried, like creaks of the old house would cut through the air and I just couldn’t shake it.

One night I was in my half brother’s room (he was about six at the time). I told him good night before heading off to my room. I forgot to close the door for some reason so I turned around just a few steps out in the hallway. On the ground, I saw the light from the lamp in his room casting a shadow against the wall opposite his room. Only it wasn’t his shadow, it looked hunched over, kind of like an old man or woman. I could see the shadow of its hands together, as if in some sort of prayer. I immediately dashed into the room to find just my younger brother patting down his bed. I asked him if he saw anything or if anyone was in here and he said no. It seemed so real but I thought it was just a trick my mind played on me (even though it was 8 o’clock). I asked him if he was sure and he nodded his head up and down. Accepting this as good enough for the time, I went to bed a few hours later and struggled to fall asleep as usual.

The next morning he, our dad, and I were at the breakfast table. After our father got up from the table, my brother smiled widely at me and loudly whispered (as children only know how to do) to me that he had a secret. I asked him what it was and he flapped his hand for me to give him my ear. I leaned in and, as he basically spit into my ear, he told me there was an old lady in his room last night.
