“What did I say, I’m not making threats.” Not yet anyway. “Accusations… yeah I can agree there.” He said being as bitter and challenging as she was being to him. But Blue did have a point, he had no proof. But that didn’t mean he was going to give up. “All it takes is one intuition.” He said. Finally thinking about what he could do to prove her wrong… follow her? Was he really going to go that far? He would if it meant saving his friends from further heartache. “But you’re right. I don’t have proof. Yet. But I don’t want to hear Toni telling me you are gone again and with no excuse.” 

“Admit that I fuckin’ mattered to you! Admit that this wasn’t all in my head! You just ditch town and forget that I even exist. I’m sick of having to see you ever few months and wondering what I did wrong. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t deserve for you to abandon me like you did,” Toni finally broke. Her voice was rushed, but holding that in for all these months was killing her. “You can’t change anything. Sweetpea makes me so happy. Happy in a way you’ll never be able to do an I want you to have to see me with him. To see how easily he makes me smile and makes me laugh and remember that that could have been you!”  She noticed the tears forming, causing Toni’s voice to soften. “Protect me from what?”

“Don’t call me that,” Toni warned, stepping up to the girl’s face. She shook her head, knowing it wasn’t worth it and she couldn’t fight a fellow serpent anyway. She didn’t need this today. “Why? Because you know you’re in the wrong or because you want to pretend that I’m the one at fault? Ignoring what happened isn’t going to make anything better, Blue. I’m tired of seeing you walking on eggshells around me.” Toni took a deep breath, hearing the softness in Blue’s voice starting to get to her. “I missed you, Baby Blue,” her voice spoke lightly. She raise an eyebrow however at the next sentence. “Lied about what?” 

“Anyone know how to get their boyfriend to distract them less?” A pause, as she stared at her watch with a pout.

“I swear it was 6 when I got here… What happened?” Time flies when you’re… having fun? Guess the saying’s got a point.

“Eliza is going through a Frozen phase and if I hear ‘Let it Go’ one more time then I am going to go crazy.”

 With narrow eyes he shot her a look. “I never threatened you, Blue. I’m just stating facts. Excuse after excuse and people loose interest real quick. Me telling you that I’m over this shit isn’t a threat.” He knew he would first need something on her to actually threaten her with anything which is why he usually spent his time keeping a distance when she was around or they were with the other Serpents. “Do you want threats or something?” Sweet pea gave a roll of his shoulders. He already knew he had to step down or he’d be seen as the bad guy compared to Blue. 

A small silent scoff released from her lips as she has to hold back to the urge to roll her brown eyes. ‘Facts? All I see are empty threats and accusations, Sweet Pea.’, Blue stated, reaching over to grab a drink, taking a small sip out of it. The fact that one of the Serpents were onto to her scared her to the bones, and she was going to be to fond of the consequences. ‘If you feel the need, please threaten me. ‘, she stated, leaning forward her eyes challenging his, ‘because you have no proof andall you’re going off of is your gut. ‘

‘Thanks.’. she mumbled, taking the drink from her hands. It’d been a rough day, and Blue was thankful the amount of alcohol that she planned on drinking tonight was going to help her forget the past few days. ‘How ya been, Dru.?’, she said, an instant buzz coming through her. The alcohol was definitely setting into her system cause a happy feeling to be pouring out. ‘So what did you bring me out here to talk about tonight?’, she questioned, an eyebrow quirked. 

Switching on another channel, Blue grumbled as she realized it was another romantic comedy once again. For once, she was trying to relax her mind. After balancing two double lives, Blue’s mind was beyond exhausted and for once she was in the comfort of her home. She could truly just be herself. Curling herself further into her pillow, Blue’s mind was jumbled with thought until a knock on her front door distracted her. Getting up from the couch, she made her way to the front door yelling a mumbled, ‘Coming.’ As reached the front door, her eyes widened at the visitor at her front door. ‘Jughead, what are you doing here?’, she questioned.

He just sighed. There wouldn’t never be a middle ground. The girl acted far too nice but Sweet pea’s stubbornness didn’t let him give up. “You want me to be straight with you? I’m done with the shit excuses Blue, all the times you leave without a word and just pop back up with that sweet look on your face. I don’t know what it is but people don’t just do that and I’m not letting it go. You might have the others fooled but eventually you’re not going to be welcome back as easily.”
