[11:42pm] Your head naturally leans to rest on chan's shoulder as you snuggle closer to each other under your shared blanket in search of more warmth on a cold night. Despite it being December, the sky was exceptionally clear that night, no clouds blocked the winter stars and you thought your attic studio wasn't so bad. It may be small, but the window on the slanted roof was like a portal to another dimension were everything was quite and peaceful, therefore you both thought of placing the bed under it. Talk about sleeping under the stars, literally.
Maybe it was the breathtaking view of the stars, softly shining like pieces of glitter scattered across the sky, maybe it was chan's intoxicating cologne, easing your mind and making you feel home, but you couldn't help but let your mind wander through all the possible and impossible things, and you found yourself blurting it out loud.
a sweet chuckle leaves the boy's lips before he replies
"What makes you think about that"
"I was just wondering," you say, shifting closer to him, if that was even possible, and he does the same "how would i have spent this year if i never met you, if i never went to that cafe that night, if you never saw my drawings, how would i be spending my night right now" you rambled,
"You wouldn't be having the best cuddling session I'll tell you that" chan blurts, his head still resting on yours but you know he's smiling, you do too.
Silence fills the room as chan thinks more about your question before starting,
"I think, if we never met, i would be way further than where i am right now, we learn so much from each other and that's what makes us grow more" he says and you only hum in approval
"and most importantly, i wouldn't be welcoming the new decade with the cutest human alive" he adds, and you finally look at him for the first time in that conversation, a stupid smile adorning your face at his cheesy comment.
Chan smiles back in satisfaction, before resting his forehead on yours, his eyes studying every inch of your face, as if you were a piece of art, as if you were the most beautiful thing he's seen in his life. You struggle to stay calm as your heart races inside your chest, your tense fingers tugging at your fluffy sweater paws.
It feels like forever before he finally leans forward, capturing your lips in a sweet yet quick peck.
You've kissed chan before, but every time feels like a first, same butterflies, same tingling feeling. He never failed to make your stomach turn with one simple charming smile.
"happy new year love" he whispers against your lips when he pulls away, and the same stupid smile spreads on your lips
"Chan your libra is showing" you say your famous line, or more like your way of coping with his constant cheesy acts, as in pretending to be done with his flirty libra ass.
Chan laughs before snaking his arms around your waist and pushing you down on the bed
"Babe that joke is so two thousand and ten" he says cheekily before you both snicker at his line.
