The argument that any of the people creatively responsible for these works unequivocally suck is just so beyond stupid; because let’s say that was true, it’s not, but let’s pretend that all the writers suck and all the writing is the worst thing ever.
Well... it wouldn’t matter in the slightest. In fact, it doesn’t matter.
Seriously, I’m not kidding.
The studios, networks, execs, and shareholders are profiting off of these so-called “bad works;” which makes quality of them in regards to payment automatically irrelevant.
If they’re good enough to make the execs a shit ton of money, then they’re good enough to make the people actually responsible for creating them, money as well; and not just the bare minimum (which they’re not even getting).
Whether or not you personally think these works are good, doesn’t matter, because clearly, they have monetary value to the studios and networks.
The argument, that the CEO has rightfully earned their huge salary and all their bonuses, but the people who make the actual works and products the company is literally built upon don’t deserve more – is insanity.
It’s so mind-numbingly stupid and I’m so fucking sick of it.
