Even if all the songs aren’t about Louis, they’re still all about Louis and I think that’s delicious.

Even if the lyrics aren’t about Louis, Lestat changes the way he performs based on if Louis is in the crowd or not. He tries to avoid eye contact and giving Louis attention, but the very obvious lack of attention is just an abundance of attention, until he can’t stomach it anymore and freezes everyone in the venue to get up close and personal in Louis’ face.

Because that’s what the concert is. Lestat just being wholly consumed by Louis and, given Lestat flies up to him only after Louis’ attention leaves him for 5 minutes to communicate with Daniel, wanting Louis to feel the same. Because Lestat’s not paying attention to anyone else, not even to his own band who he usually rages at for missing the slightest cue but this time completely missing how empty their performance sounded with Alex gone.

Even if the words being said aren’t about Louis, literally every other aspect of the performance is, including even the creation of said lyrics given Lestat became a rockstar because of Louis. Louis is his muse even when not his current inspiration, Louis is the only person Lestat’s singing to even at concerts he doesn’t go to. In Lestat’s repeated attempts to claim how little is about Louis, all he does is make it more obvious how all of it is about Louis.
