ever since i graduated from college, i have been on the job hunt. and i haven’t been able to find a job within my industry because it’s so mcfreakin’ competitive. in the meantime, i’ve been working as a waitress to earn some income while i job hunt. the job hunt has been incredibly stressful and draining for me, especially since i’ve gotten so few responses back. and my parents aren’t exactly thrilled about it either. 

and while this is going on, my job at the restaurant has kinda gone downhill. a lot of my friends that i have made there left. and it has been slowly turning into a toxic work environment for me, especially with my relationship with my managers, who make me work while i’m sick (which is so wrong because i’m in the food industry!!!). 

ANYWAY, the point is, this, on top of my job hunt, and on top of an unpaid internship, i am very drained. i haven’t had much motivation to write anything. this place is supposed to be an escape for me, but every time i go on my computer, it’s for the job hunt. i’ve been distracting myself with video games as some short-term stress relief. 

but please know that i have all my threads drafted and i am working on them one by one!! i do love the threads that i have and i am eager to continue them. i really miss writing on here with everyone. and please know that i’m still around!!! i’m just slacking in my writing rn. i do have plans in store for this blog in 2020!!! so i don’t plan on staying away for too long.

for katherine , small talk was useful even if it was tedious . it meant she was able to gather information about where she was and make sure she was safe for a while . her eyes however did directly go to the pendant hanging around the blonde’s neck , she had seen that before . she just couldn’t pin point where just yet . a fake smile on her lips as the iced coffee was placed by her hand . “ 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 . 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 . ”

    Hearing noise in the house, Stefan closed the door behind him and took a cautious step forward. If they were also a vampire, they would have heard him by now, so clearly they weren’t one. “Hello?” A stupid move, but if whoever they were was up to trouble, they would cease making noise immediatley. “What are you doing in here? Did my brother let you in?”

There wasn’t a real, decent explanation Rikki could give as to why she was standing in the foyer of the mansion. She had left her place to get away and went hiking around in the woods. Her timing was terrible, for thunderclouds rolled in, and Rikki was quick and desperate to find shelter. She found a driveway and now here she was, slipping inside just as the downpour began.

At the sound of another’s voice, she gasped and spun around, badly startled. Her first instinct was to hide, but she knew that was stupid and futile. So what was she supposed to do now? Ask the stranger if he’d let her, another stranger, stay in his house so she doesn’t turn into a fish outside ?
