Making Myself Better

These are the things I finished during my almost one month of stay in the clinic as a severely depressed patient. I am allowed to go home this Friday. My doc trusts that I am no longer a danger for myself. But the fight doesn't end this Friday, I am still in the process of accepting and learning how to live this life that I have. It is not my dream life, not my ideal kind of life. It will always be sad and difficult, but it doesn't mean I am allowed to kill myself. I hope I can do it.

It's been a while since I was here on tumblr. I managed to finish another virtual challenge but this one was really difficult! I thought I won’t make it before it expires.

I had lots of pain recently which makes it difficult for me to workout and walk a lot. I admit, I cheated here, and I still do on my current challenge. The kilometers are not just for real distances I covered. Since I am also dealing with depression, I add kilometers simply for being alive.

I started this 2025 virtual challenge after I got admitted in the clinic due to depression with suicidal tendencies. After about three weeks, I am already halfway on this challenge... and I am also feeling much better than the day I was admitted.

The Conqueror - Virtual Challenges is really life-changing! I started with this October last year when my Hamburg friends gifted me a LOTR code (first picture). Since then, I got motivated to move more and not just lie in bed, something that is really good for my physical and mental health ❤️.

The medals are just one of the motivating factor, what made me love this more is that at every 20% finished distance, I get the chance to do something for Mother Nature as well. I chose planting a tree under my name for every 20% finished distance. So far I have 10 trees planted already (I have recently just reached 40% on my third challenge).
