I know for a fact that the poets all contribute a subscription to their shared home, as Keating covers most of the rent. So here’s who has what.

Neil

The Netflix. Neil is just really reliable, and I feel that because of it, he contributes on of the most important streaming services. All of them use Netflix a crap ton, so at least Neil gets his money worth.

Todd

Disney+. You can’t tell me that Todd was not a Disney kid. He literally knows all the classic Disney movies, even the less popular ones. He’s the main user of it, but on occasion the others will use it as well.

Charlie

Paramount +. It’s the only way he can watch South Park and Ninja turtles. He needs to stay up to date on both, so it’s pretty logical that he pays for Paramount+. The show is constantly in the background in his room, so at least Charlie gets his money worth.

Knox

I imagine he’s extra rich, so he totally pays for the Apple TV. The main thing they watch on it are the Charlie Brown movies and episodes. Knox is a snoopy lover at heart.

Pitts

He’s totally paying for the groups Prime Video account. It’s not the most popular, but it’s got some good stuff on it. And it has some pretty alright tv shows and movies, so at least it doesn’t totally suck.

Meeks

He’s paying for the crunchyroll. I know in my heart of hearts, they all like anime. But each is into a different genre. So they have a tradition, where each week a different poet gets to choose that weeks anime theme. It keeps people from getting violent (Charlie)

Cameron

He pays for the HBO Max. It’s got some good stuff, and Cameron especially liked watching the Final Destination series when he’s sick or something. Besides that, the other poets like watching Looney Tunes on it.

Because he knew it wouldn’t do anything. He knew his tears would have no impact on his father, or just make the situation worse for him.

You know who he did cry in front of?

Keating.

Or do you think he grew uncomfortable at the thought, believed that they wouldn't understand or forgive him? Do you think he hoped that when he dies they'd still hold him kindly in their memory? And if he thought of Keating, what? Did he wish his father were like him instead? Or did he feel unheard by Keating, too, since just earlier when he told him he was trapped, but Keating didn't understand? Did he miss them? Did he feel sorry? Do you think he was frightened, or too tired to be scared?

Charlie dalton hiding behind a mask of jokes and laughter, never being too serious- never letting anyone get close enough to be so serious. Every emotion he has, every negative feeling, every experience he just locks away in a joke to his friends, pretending that he doesn’t actually care when all he does is care. You saw him after he left Hager’s office after the phone call to god. Tears in his eyes, and yet he’s still laughing and cracking jokes around everyone. You can see how much it affected him. YU can see the pain in his eyes and In his walk. He locks himself into his room, alone, to finally feel something, but at some point he starts to question if he ever felt anything to begin with. He’s jealous of his friends- of Neil, mainly, who feels so loud and who isn’t ashamed of what’s inside of him, and Knox who can love so passionately and deeply, but meanwhile charlies just. There. Like if he even tried to open up seriously, no one would take it seriously and everyone would play it off as a joke, because he’s always joking and he’s always fine and he’s always okay, he has to be, he’s strong, he’s funny, he’s confident- he’s Charlie. He’s always the listener, never the one to get listened to.

Charlie dalton crying, non stop after Neil kills himself. His suicide genuinely broke down a wall within him. He doesn’t bother to act anymore, he just can’t bear the idea of acting like everything is fine when his whole world shattered around him and there’s nothing he can do or could have done. And yet still, he’s jealous. He’s jealous of Todd for being held when he heard the news, for everyone clamouring around him and making sure he’s okay- who was there to hold him when he found out that his best friend- his brother, had killed himself? Who was there for him? He was jealous of Todd being so loud, for finally screaming and yelling when he never had before. He was filled with envy that the rest of them could sing at Neil’s ceremony when he was so filled with grief and guilt that all he could do was stare as the tears kept falling- did they ever stop? Did he ever miss him less? Did it ever stop hurting?

Charlie dalton snapping, finally, after years of emotions hidden behind this facade of happiness, preforming like a court jester, escaping from him. His knuckle colliding against Cameron’s face, as if it could bring cameron just an inch of the pain that Neil’s death had brought to him. As if anything could ever compare to the gaping hole in his chest that Neil’s death had brought, the hole that nothing could ever fill, the kind of hole that filled him with this deep bubbling rage and a deep lack of care for anything anymore. There was no point in pretending to be happy, pretending to be okay- he wasn’t even sure if he could try anymore. If he did, it wouldn’t be believable. Neils death shattered him, broke every thing that he knew about himself and the world. He’d given up.
