All pokemon to scale!
I'd love to have a poster of this!
Dogboarding on DIY TV
Whatâs cooler than skateboarding? Probably just two things: ice, and dogboarding.
This video shows you how to make a LED bracelet that lights up when you put it on. Made at MakerKids (one of the only makerspaces for kids in the world) by Co-Executive Director Jennifer Turliuk. www.makerkids.ca
Make Your Own Sonic Sound Scarf
Transport yourself through sound ! Instead of using traditional headphones - this circle scarf has speakers embedded in it, along with a lilypad MP3 player so you can listen to music/sound through the fabric!Â
This is awesome!

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU ARE IN A BAD MOOD?
Being creative and making things.
Check out this mystical DIY:
Jenn Turliuk (MakerKids co-executive director) makes a magic wand using materials from the MakerKids workshop. The wand only flashes in the hands of a true sorcerer. ;)
Star Holiday Ornaments from Bike Chains
Since I have a lot of bicycles and that means I do a lot of bicycle maintenance. Eventually a bicycle chain wears out and I have to install a new chain. This happens more than I would like to admit so I have a plethora of worn out chains. Throw them away? I say NO ! âŚÂ reuse, recycle, re-purpose!
Makerkids says: How bout something like this for our tree?
Waterproof Paper Wallet
Make your own wallet out of recycled paper! Itâs completely waterproof and has a coin catching design. It doesnât matter if you spill juice or ketchup on your wallet, you could just simply wipe it and it all goes away! Glazed with a layer of âClear Acrylic Laquerâ, the wallet can resist being torn.
So cool! You could even decorate with inspiring quotes to keep you happy, motivated, and on track whenever you open your wallet.
Also, clear packing tape works to keep the outside surfaces dry.
MakerKids loves Minecraft and we think this dance is AWESOME! What does your Minecraft dance look like?

Dating on a Budget: The University Students Guide to Dating in Toronto
Holiday Edition!
Bit Bazaar Winter Market
Where: Bento Miso (862 Richmond St. West)
When: December 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Cost: Admission is free, but if you want to buy gifts youâll need some money.
Type of Couple: The comic/ video game lover. It could also be a good date for you to expose your significant other to this culture or a great gift idea if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend who loves this sort of stuff.
Why: This event, in support of local indie game makers, is a video game and comic market. This event not only allows you to find the most unique one-of-a-kind gifts from limited edition goods, zines, games, shirts and posters, just to name a few, but it is sure to be one of the most interesting dates youâll have all year. If I was still dating my ex, I would have for sure suggested this as a date! You can play games in the Arcade of the Bazaar, partake in a game by Damian Sommer which requires you to collect cards from vendors or just have a bite to eat and meet some talent.
I always say you need to find the date that will give you hours of conversation, because the worst thing is running out of stuff to say. However, anything that involves comics and videos games could work to your advantage. Whether you understand the art or are exposing someone to this culture for the first time, the conversation will never die because these events are sure to be bizarre and have many wtf moments that will have questioning whether you just saw that or not.
