Isaac is a church kid who grew up singing in the choir. Unlike Jake and Hailey, he always had support (pressured) from everyone around him to pursue singing. However, because singing was expected of him, he slowly became burnt out and lost his passion. He thought joining Max’s band would bring it back, but it didn’t lmaoo

As Max became more ambitious with his band, Isaac became more distant. He kept promising he’d show up, but promises were broken as more as time went on. Max trusted that Isaac would pull through, so when Isaac didn’t turn up to the band competition, He refused to go on.

Isaac isn’t a good person like, at all, and Damian clocked his shit a while ago. Him and Jamie are kind of cool but she’s mostly disappointed in him since she has multiple times told him that he’s never needed to sing and to just tell them if he doesn’t want to but Isaac’s cowardly ass was like noooo!!! I could definitely do it!!

He has immense jealousy at both tmc and maxed out because he’s never had that spark.

I don’t really take commissions because I’m usually pretty busy with school assignments and work, and art/writing are more like my downtime and something I do for fun. I have so many that I’ve enjoyed over the years. But I did have two that popped in my head instantly:

1. Astralis by: mitski_slope

THE holy grail hailia fic (to meeee). It’s so good, funny, heartwarming and has a happy ending. It’s a great Lia character study and everyone’s characterisations are so! So! Good!

(Actually I implore everyone to read hailia centric fics. I don’t know what the authors have going on but every single one I’ve read has been a banger.)

2. To Breathe (and to Keep Breathing) series by: jagged_dust_jacket (actually just do urself a favour and read all their fics)

I will say: heavy content warning. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the themes are so good. It’s three fics, the first is Drew’s, the second is Jake’s, and the third is a Zoey-centred one-shot. Every single one is gut-wrenching, but in the best way!!

I have a lot more but a lot of them are incomplete . And I’m a little too lazy to look and list them lmao. But!

What I really like is that Lia wanted Jake back in the friend group and wanted everything to go back to normal, but she still went to Jake and confessed that she was the one who sent the audio. She fully knew he probably wouldn’t forgive her and that she could lose him as a friend, or at least lose whatever friendship they used to have. She even said they didn’t have to stay friends, so she clearly went into the conversation expecting that outcome.

In the end, she was basically choosing honesty even if it meant ending up alone. She’s only really friends with people who are also friends with Zoey, and most of them would probably choose Zoey over her if it came down to it. I like to think Lia is the kind of person you’d hang out with in a group, but not necessarily one-on-one unless it’s superficial. The only person she really has that kind of closeness with is Zoey.

And then Jake forgiving her anyway????? Like UGGHHH. Are they stupid?
