I'm just looking through his wikipedia when I see that it states very clearly that he's gay. and i went. huh. why was THAT a whole argument then. they had a citation so i clicked it. and this is what it brought me:

This is a daily reminder that changing views and opinions does not make you a hypocrite. Sabi nga don sa tweet kong nabasa, such mindset extends to our education system whose mission is to correct/improve the “virtual” reality we’ve entrenched on ourselves. It’s good if you’re a principled person, but you can’t be so without even having the time to reassess and revisit every side of the dialogue. 

Isa ‘to sa mga rason kung bakit mahirap ibahin opinyon ng ibang tao despite the loads of facts and significant evidences presented to them. Bigyan mo man ng ganto ganyan, “bible pa ren kame mga ulol!!!” ang response. Most of these people have sided with their religion for years and ok, nothing wrong with that. But dont come shoving down a piece of fiction you believe in down every people’s throat just because you’re the majority. You can’t use bible every fucking time you’re starting to lose the argument, let alone use the word of God selectively to fit in with your agenda.

Basic commandment of God nga e is not to lie e. Sure naman akong nasa very core din ito ng bible pero bakit di niyo masunod??? Kasi nga diba, selective kayo as to which of which you’ll follow diba??? Feel niyo kasing marami rin namang nagawa nito kaya oh ayan okay lang. Alam niyo bang bawal din ang kasuotang more than two fabrics para sa mga kristyano??? Na promoted sa bible ang patriarchy and rape and genocide???? Na ang constitution ng Ph despite not siding with any religion and being deemed “rational and fair” ay hindi naman talaga? Na talaga namang nakabase lang din ito sa bibliya?

Pero wala. Hirap kasi sa ilang mga relihiyoso kong kakilala, palibhasa sila itong mga banal at may mga rosaryo sa bulsa ay sila na agad ang mabubuti. Ive had so many xps kung saan kapag may masamang nangyayari saken, sasabihin nilang, “ayan kasi kaka-dislike mo sa religion” which is super illogical and unfair kasi pag itong mga ganito ang nangyayari sa mga relihiyoso, “ay. plano yan ni god bes. trust him lang ano ba.” Oh diba ganyan! Nakakaloka. 

This is why we should blur the lines between spirituality and religion. Ako ha, as a person talaga bimb, I believe in God. I was once agnostic pero nahirapan ako to deal with the fact na walang God kasi nasanay na ako cos of my parents. But I untethered His love to me from my love to the idea of religions. Hindi ko kasi masikmurang satsat nang satsat yung mga pari abt “uy mga bes give money naman to the poor” tapos aba mga kotse ga naman pag pupunta sa chapel naman dine daig pa kotse namin bimb ha. “Love one another” napaka-basic diba???? Pero ayon, hate the gays daw. Hate homosexuality raw. wowz naman. 

Simply put, para magkaroon ng common ground tayong lahat dito, be empathetic and critical enough. Hindi nga kasi pwedeng side mo lang pinapakinggan mo while debating. You should have both ears open for mooting and critiquing + an open heart and fair mind to judge as to which side you’re gonna lean on. Love love love!!!
