このサイクルをより効果的に回す仕掛けとして、昨年PDTでは筑波大学との間で新しい産学連携スキームを構築した。同大学内にある落合氏の研究室「デジタルネイチャー研究室」で生まれた知財の100%がPDTに譲渡され、その対価として筑波大学側にはPDTから新株予約権を付与するというものだ。事前に新株予約権を付与しておくことで、新たな発明が出る度に権利配分の決定やライセンス契約の調整をする必要がなくなり、一連のプロセスを短縮できるようになる。
