Kaidan rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hands, groaning because he was tired or frustrated he wasn't sure, more than likely a mix of both. "Taylor and Shepard are at Purgatory right?" He asked Garrus who was in the kitchen making coffee.
Garrus nodded "Right."
"Good, hopefully they find something." He heard the light thunk of Garrus setting a cup next to him and instead of the coffee he assumed he was getting he was greeted by a glass of water. "Vakarian what is this?"
"It's water Kaidan." He answered as he sat at the coffee table in Kaidan's apartment.
"Great, now why is it here and my coffee isn't?" He asked, slightly annoyed.
"Because you have a headache and I can tell."
Kaidan scoffed "Yeah? How?"
"Because you're doing that thing you do." He pointed a talon at him as he sipped the dextro safe coffee he kept for Garrus.
"I don't do a thing." That was a lie but he didn't like that Garrus picked up on it.
"When you have a headache you tend to bite the inside of your lip, we've been friends for a while Alenko, don't act surprised."
Kaidan shook his head, regretting it as soon as he did "I'm fine Garrus."

I don’t like people putting them against each other, I always thought of them as bros... not hating the couple idea... hadn’t thought of that before so something to think on.
