Meiko Kirishima - She/He/It - 18yo

Meiko is a hacker-for-hire active in the Link Vrains under the pseudonym “NEO”.

Self proclaimed coding expert, dueling star on the rise and maho shojo connoisseur (nobody tell him the info got out), he’s the last person you’d ever want to be stranded with.

Willing to do everything and to work for anyone that offers the right price, NEO is a pretty popular choice amongst people who need services that range from simple password cracking to ransomware and corporate espionage (hey!!! can you blame It if it puts food on the table?).

Though you can say that NEO’s willingness to throw associates under the bus if it does happens to benefit her, does not make her as popular between fellow hackers and even (old) friends. But it’s not like he cares. Right? He actually prefers being alone. ?????? RIGHT?!?

Expert victim blamer and reigning monarch of internalized mysoginy, she sometimes has the ability to manifest good personality traits, like being a ride-or-die for her (1) friend (Spectre) or creating AI images of her ex childhood best friend together with his deceased father to cheer him up (she still can’t believe that didn’t work. ungrateful rich bastard).

Speaking of deceased fathers, her uncle was one of the three scientists that worked with Kogami on the Lost Incident. If you ask Meiko what her opinion about it is, she’ll tell you that most victims are extremely dramatic about the six months they spent “doing absolutely nothing but dueling (basically a vacation)” and that the electric shocks they received for their defeats were “actually quite weak, and could have been avoided if they would just be Better At Dueling”. Her (1) friend even liked the Incident!!! Which just goes to prove her theory that the other 5 victims are just exaggerating and “making a big deal out of nothing”.

Does she actually believe what she’s saying or is she just coping? Even she doesn’t know that!!!! 

That is so not important though. What is, is that he likes rythm games and visual novels and sci-fi and the hardware side of computers. He’s also the biggest fan ever of the Yummy archetype!! 

His main motivations in the series is obtaining an Ignis to dissect it, because Ryoken refuses to share with him the blueprints of the AIs (again, ungrateful rich bastard), and well he’s curious!! He wants to know exactly which data from the Incident went into forming the Ignises!! Can you blame a guy for having a bit of whimsy and scientific curiosity?
