I love the fact that we got to see Peter fall apart. That we got to see him panicked, crying, stressed and giving up. I’m glad marvel portrayed this fifteen year old as just that- a fifteen year old. Learning as he went, making mistakes, getting in too deep and caring too much. He didn’t have it all together, he didn’t have a plan. And when things went wrong, he reacted as any teenager would. He broke. It was heart-wrenching and painful and horribly close to home for so many people in the audience, which was quite honestly amazing, because for once, we got to see a teen represented as breakable, not some crazy strong traumtised Child Of War who could take on the world without even flinching.
Peter Parker failed and screamed and almost lost hope- and it was one of the best superhero moments I’ve seen.
