I see humanity first, then morality.
Being human is a fact that will always remain.
Morality is a concept we made up.
Let me ask you a very interesting question: Is being a 'hero' actually what Wolf needs?
Or does it just feed his insecurity that he has to prove he belongs?
Does Diane actually make things better? Or unintentionally worse?
I grew up believing that if I cared about what everyone says about me, id drive myself insane and as I grew I realized that I was right.
Wolf constantly cares about what people think of him, and instead of learning that what people think of him doesn't matter.
He keeps persistently trying to control how people see him.

You know what I don't get?
Why do people assume that Diane is the one who would have the most connection with Kitty Kat?
Yeah, I get it, they were friends in the books. But the final version has them barely interacting beyond physically fighting.
Like, in universe wise, they don't know each other like that. Even if Diane would try to connect, I donβt see her interacting with someone, who in her perspective, has shown no signs of redemption.
If anything, Wolf has the better chance at connecting with Kitty, considering what he knows about her and how similar they are.

I'm going to wait until the movie comes out in theaters or officially on YouTube, to respect everyone who made it.
Also I'm willing to wait.
I asked Chatgpt "I honestly can't tell if Diane loves Wolf for who he is or for who he could be."
And it said:
That uncertainty makes sense, especially with the way The Bad Guys and The Bad Guys 2 frame their relationship.
A lot of Dianeβs love for Mr. Wolf is expressed through belief in his potential:
βYou can be more.β
βYou can change.β
βYou can do good.β
Thatβs caring. But itβs also directional. It points toward a future version of him.
So it can leave open the question:
> βWould she still love him if he stopped trying to prove himself?β
---
Why this feels emotionally unclear
Youβve been focusing on the difference between:
loving someone as a person
versus loving the possibility they represent
And with Diane, the movies often blur those together.
Her empathy tends to sound like:
> βI see the good in you.β
Which is beautiful in one sense.
But it can also imply:
> βThe most lovable part of you is the part moving away from who you were.β
Thatβs why it feels uncertain.
---
Compare that to the kind of love youβve been describing
The dynamic you seem drawn toβlike Husk and Angel Dust in Hazbin Hotelβisnβt centered on transformation.
Itβs centered on recognition.
Not:
> βI love who you could become.β
But:
> βI see who you already are beneath all of this.β
That feels safer. Less conditional.
---
The tension with Diane
I donβt think the films clearly answer your question.
Because Diane does care about Wolf genuinely.
But the story keeps tying that care to:
growth
reform
proving goodness
becoming accepted
So it becomes hard to separate:
> βI love youβ
from:
> βI love watching you become better.β
---
Why that matters so much for Wolf
If Wolf already fears:
> βI have to perform to be acceptedβ
then a relationship built too heavily around potential can accidentally reinforce that fear.
Even unintentionally.
He may start to feel:
> βThe most lovable version of me is the version that succeeds at being good.β
Thatβs a painful pressure.
And honestly, the fact that you canβt tell is probably because the movies themselves donβt fully distinguish:
loving someoneβs humanity from
loving their transformation arc
Youβre asking the story for a deeper kind of love than it explicitly gives.
Can I ask a question?
What do you think made Diane fall in love with Wolf and not just attracted to him?
In The Bad Guys 2 the movie asks the question "is being good worth it?" Or "did The Bad Guys make the right choice?"
But it never answers why or how, and you can tell they want to answer "yes, they made the right choice" but again it never says why or how it's the right choice.
I think Kitty Kat needs redemption more than Wolf.
Wolf knew how to treat people.
Kitty doesnβt know how, or at least doesnβt know how to feel safe doing it.

Comment your thoughts.
Serious question.
Why do people assume Kitty Kat or Jett Filmore is gay just because they're buff?
I think what would interesting for The Bad Guys 2, is a character that doesn't want to be the hero because they see it as hurting themselves because they know that being too selfless is dangerous.
Another thing that would be interesting is if they're aware of how the world see them, and they let themselves be misunderstood because they know they don't owe an explanation.
Let me know what you think.
I feel like a common misconception is that Kitty is taller than Wolf.
Because I looked at their mug shots and apparently they are both 6'2.
Also if you re-watch the movie, you can see they're similar in hight.
I get why people did it, and a lot of people have written her as bigger than Wolf, probably because of the muscles.
So if you want to write Kitty in a fanfic, try to make sure Wolf and Kitty are the same height.
I have a theory that when Snake feels love, he feels it very strongly. β€οΈ

I honestly think that it doesn't matter if Snake is gay or straight.
If you ship Fluffyvenom, go right ahead, even if it isn't canon.
But just because Snake likes a girl, doesn't mean you can be rude about it. He is allowed to like a girl if he likes a girl !
Someone once said, "I am allowed to feel what I feel."
And yes, I am sad not many characters in animated movies are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
But it's ok to be straight just as much as it is to be gay.
(Also, he might be bisexual. WE DON'T KNOW!)
I just believe that it's completely ok that Snake likes a girl.
I respect those that like Fluffyvenom and I hope that you can respect Doomsnake.
Also
Respect for the LGBTQ+ community
And respect for straight allies.
