Yule Wish Bottle
This was a gift that I gave to a friend for success, prosperity, strength and luck in the coming new year. Â
You will need:
a small corked bottle whole almonds (employment, money, health) rose buds (protection) chamomile flowers (money, luck) bay leaf (strength) ground ginger (money, success, power) five finger leaf (money, health, power, wisdom) ground cinnamon (success, money) ground allspice (money, luck) ground clove (money) elm bark (protection from gossip and false friends) mandrake root (prosperity, gives the spell a kick) orange zest (joy, health, purification) rosemary a sigil for prosperity, strength, and luck
Add all of the ground ingredients to the bottle first. Â Write the sigil on a small piece of paper and roll it up like a scroll and add it to the bottle. Â Add the whole pieces last, arranging nicely as best as you can. Â While doing this, you can whisper the specifications for your âwishâ into the bottle or just focus on the desired outcome as you assemble the bottle.

I was asked to make a tutorial on how I make my felted Yule goat ornaments!
Optional is stuffing herbs crystals etc inside the goat for extra oomph!
Step 1: make you guide out of cardboard or sturdy paper. Step 2: Lay on piece of doubled felt and cut along outline. Step 3 tie a knot on end of embroidery floss and pull through one side right at the neck. Step 4: not really a step, the side where the knot is will be the inside of the Yule goat to hide the knot. Step 5: bring both side together and use a whip stitch to loop along the edges from the neck forward and all along there whole thing until just past the tail. Step 6: leave enough room to put stuffing in the goat using a chopstick, wooden skewer etc. Step 7: once it is full of stuffing, finish sewing up the back to your first knot and tie off a knot to keep it from unraveling. Step 8: (optional) if you have enough excess, wrap the remaining floss around the neck until you have a just enough to tie a little bow. This wrapping helps hide your knots if they didnât quite get finished correctly. Cut off excess and decorate your knew body with ribbon trim etc
Well, with December 1st here, itâs officially my season for Yule and Yule prep!
Hereâs a small tutorial for cheap handmade Yule goats out of felt.
Sansaâs Survival - a charm spell to help you survive through hard times.
*inspired by Sansa and all the horrific events through which she survived* Needed: - something to charm, like a necklace or pin - Black, Red, and Blue Candles - Garnet, Sardonyx, Onyx - Thyme, Pine needles, and basil - something to put it all in
Steps: - light your candles - pull out your container - wave your charm over the candles but not through the flame. - set it inside the box, and repeat that process with each of the other ingredients, starting with your herbs. - The pine, basil and thyme all represent strength and perseverance. Scatter them lightly in your container over your charm. - Set your stones inside as well - seal the container and set it aside overnight - Blow out your candles to close and activate the spell. - the next morning, take out your charm and carry it with you for as long as you need it.Â

Personal sachet
The following is a sachet that has helped me in my day to day life. It includes:
Lavender for happiness, peace and harmony.
Sage for wisdom and protection.
Cinnamon for spirituality and healing.
Flourite for mental power.
Obsidian for grounding and centering.
Clear quartz for increasing energy.
Amethyst for spiritual awareness and peace.
A black sachet for banishing evil and negativity
As you place each item in the sachet think about it's intent. After placing all the items charge it under the waxing gibus to the full moon for motivation and healing.
You may of course change the ingredients or any part of the process for whatever you desire.
Witchy uses for your phone for the frugal or secret witch
If you donât have something for a spell here are some really easy things you can use your phone for:
â¨download a candle app
â¨download an app that lets you make a digital altar
â¨set an altar up when youâre alone and safe to, take a photo of it and use that when you canât have your real altar set it. (Even video it if you want lit candles!!)
â¨Google and save the image of a tarot card/gemstone/feather/animal/altar tools required for a spell
â¨use YouTube to play a bell chime or wind chimes
â¨use YouTube to play a video of running water/the sea
â¨download a meditation app that has sound clips- now you have bird call, water sounds, some have fire cracklingâŚ
â¨use a drawing app to draw sigils and other symbols
⨠if a spell requires you to write something and then burn it, write it on a drawing app and then erase it
Other witchy things you can use your phone for:
â¨digital book of shadows - either on your notes or you can download a password protected journal or note book app
â¨download a tarot card app that gives you readings
â¨magic 8 ball app for pendulum style divination (yes, no, maybe, donât know)
â¨download a guided meditation app or search them on YouTube
â¨meditational music free on Spotify
â¨notes or journal app to keep a gratitude or dream diary
â¨dream dictionary app or website bookmarked on phone
I know these arenât quite the same as having the real thing but if you canât obtain things, you canât afford them, or just canât afford to be caught practicing witchcraft, donât be afraid to use your phone!
Also great for portable spells - i.e. When youâre out and about and donât have access to your physical tools :)
Acorn moon candles
⢠Harvested acorn shells ⢠Wax bits from old candles ⢠Old incense stick bottoms ⢠Lavander flower (optional)
ă Melt the wax (wax burner or old tin can and an old pot full of water on the stove works well for this), pour into shells, stick the wicks in and blow softly for a few seconds⌠wax will harden and the candle is done! Repeat for as many as youâd like to make!
â These candles are wonderful for small or short spells AND they float on water which makes them extra fun! Enjoy! â

How to make and use a Coping Board
A coping board is used to help you keep yourself âon scheduleâ throughout your day.  It can be used by people who have trouble doing âdailyâ tasks like showering, eating, or taking medication. Itâs also beneficial to people who have trouble keeping track of what theyâve done that day due to mental health related memory problems. This is also beneficial to people who (like me) donât have the energy to make daily to do lists because that task alone is pretty exhausting and depending on my mental state can be overwhelming. By having a set list of things already prepared, it makes my tasks less draining.Â
This is what a Coping Board is, a piece of cork board with short lists of things you want to or should be doing. I made my lists out of index cards, and I continue to add them as I have the energy or remember things I want to do. First, start with tasks you want to complete each morningÂ
This is what my âmorningâ list looks like.  As I complete each task, I move the pin from To Do to Done.  This helps me keep track of what I have already done this morning and what I still would like to accomplish. You donât have to do them in any particular order, it just so happens I did my first four in order today.Â
Next, make a list of things youâd like to do each night before you go to bed.
This is what my  ânighttimeâ list looks like. I also reset my morning list as I complete my nighttime list, so its ready for me the next day.Â
You can also add other lists that pertain to you. For example, I have a very hard time keeping track of what day of the week it is, so I added a âday of the weekâ list.
Each morning when I wake up, I move the pin to the next day. Â I also added a list of things Iâd like to make sure I do at least once a week.
Personally this list is more of a âwish listâ of things I donât want to forget about, but definitely donât always have the energy for.  I reset this list every Sunday.
Finally, you can also add things that you use as self care tactics or coping skills. For me, since I practice energy work, this list is mostly about changing the energy of my personal space in my room.Â
I try to do these daily, but sometimes weekly is more realistic.Â
The great thing about a Coping Board is that its so easy to add or remove things from your schedule. Â If you have a medication change, you can make a sheet to help you remember what dosage to take each day as you transition. Â This is my summer board, but during the semester I would probably add different lists for each of my classes or things I need to complete like a paper or an art assignment. The possibilities are endless, and itâs easy to customize to what you need most.Â
I hope this has been helpful for all of you! Good luck, and stay safe everyone.Â
This can also be altered for my fellow mentally ill witches! You can add lists of rituals youâd like to do for yourself, deities, or spirits. Another cute idea would be to add say types of bath magick or low spoon self care spells, things that are good for you but easy to forget when say, youâre in a depressive episode.Â
