I sense a scene shift! Most importantly though, Basil is fully aware of how close their faces are in panel 3. Aaron, not so much, alas (those Demi vibes) though he definitely views Basil as someone who isn't an enemy (just a guy who's literally tangled up in some terrible things) and that's a start.

The way to any boy's heart is clearly a desperate necktie grab. I mean we have hand grasping, we have blushes AND some heavy implications regarding Aaron's relationship with his familiar on this page, heck yeah.

So Aaron's a really practical guy (and a teensy bit neurodivergent~) so naturally, he's going the most direct route of cause and effect here. It's difficult to ignore protocol when that's all you know, ya know?

You may or may not have noticed the difference (and if you haven't then that's awesome) but beginning with page 1 of chapter 10, I've taken over coloring from Jordan (my writer.) This way, we'll be able to- hopefully- streamline the process and update more regularly. It's certainly been a challenge thus far but I'm hoping to learn more as I go and keep things as magical as possible!
