James sits on the other bed.

He’s a little baffled by his own compliance. Kirk’s grin is smug, and a part of him chafes at that. The other part of him, buried low in the pit of his stomach, squirms embarrassedly at Jason’s snicker. Playing along like he’s Kirk’s bitch– jesus, what’s wrong with him?

“And when I bury you, I’ll bury you with this,” Jason says, touching the pendant that hangs, ever present, between his collarbones. “So you’ll find your way back to me. Maybe in this life. Maybe in another.”

“Do you think that’ll work?”

“Why not? Sometimes bodies don't stay where they’ve been laid to rest. Lovers reunite again, and again, and again.”
