When asked what they liked most about HashiMada:

I love their mutual obsession with each other, and every point of their life is about and inspired by each other. Hashirama wouldn't be who he is without Madara and Madara wouldn't be who he is without Hashirama. The themes in their relationship, from hope to despair, dreams to nightmares, devotion to consumption, is all very interesting to me. To reach divinity through the flesh of your beloved, their story is the peak of romance.

I love how obsessed they are with eachother and how it transcends death.. I think its beautiful that they just can't hate eachother no matter what. So much love in both of their hearts.
