Itโs been a couple years since Iโve posted anything here, and after going through my blog for the first time in a long time- I thought Iโd check in with you all (as I miss and love you dearly!)
Iโm 25 now, can you believe it?
Iโm in a band called Big Slide, and we make soft rock / dream pop music thatโs nostalgic and whimsical. I am the lead singer, and write most of the lyrics for our songs.
Iโve had a handful of heartbreaks, much needed for character development, but have eventually found love in my beautiful Michael.
I shaved my head a few years ago, let it grow, shaved it again, rinse and repeat. Now itโs down past my shoulder blades (so if you can only imagine the time thatโs passed!)
My body has changed. When Mitski said โIโve been big and small and big and small and big and small againโ I think she might have been talking about me.
My sister is still my best friend. Sheโll be 21 soon, my sweet girl, and sheโs so so so beautiful.
I still work as a nanny, and I am very fulfilled in my profession. Children are such a light in this world and being a source of protection, comfort, and support for them bring me so much joy.
I have two cats, Fuji my sweet grey stripey girl, and my silly boy Beep who is white with brindle polka dots. They follow me everywhere, my little shadows. Theyโve gotten me through so much, and I couldnโt imagine life without them.
I have more tattoos than I can count and I suppose Iโll only get more (although they have slowed down in the recent years.)
Iโm happy, Iโm healthy, and I find myself in perfect harmony with the world around me. Change is inevitable, but I grow with it to go with it. I missed you, and I hope someone out there (who has followed me over the last decade) sees this and smiles.
