Hi again! Here are some more attacks I've done this year! Really proud of everything in this batch!

Not to be corn-plating this scene, but I LOVE how detailed it is, even without sound.

Pomni looks a bit surprised at the bad roll, looks up a Caine and nervously laughs, maybe a bit worried that it would upset him. She looks over at Ragatha, who says something that makes her burst out laughing!

Caine looks devastated, and from Gangle’s response, says something like “Can I reroll?!”

To which Gangle says “Nope!”

“Ohhhh….”

I think Caine should be told that redemption and atonement is about doing the right thing, not because he should expect forgiveness.

I thought were just two ways of showing the same thing, two lenses. That when we got this

That Cane was reaching out to the abstracted people and turning them back!

Then i got confused when that didnt actually happen, scratch didnt go back to the circus. But so much was happening that i just didnt think much about it.

It was just in this second viewing that i realized the WHOLE SEQUENCE WITH RED CIRCLE!CAINE WAS A FLASHBACK TO WHEN HE FIRST DISCOVERED THE BRAIN SCANS AND TURNED THEM INTO CHARACTERS AND PUT THEM IN THE CIRCUS

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA this scene hits me right where I goddamn live, and it really does justice to both Gangle and Jax's characters.

Even though she wants to feel sorry for him because being abstracted is such a terrible and horrific fate to suffer, she can't bring herself to do so because of how terribly and horrifically he treated her. It shows that she knows that even a person like him doesn't deserve to abstract as some kind of punishment for everything he's done. But how can she feel bad for him for everything he's done? For how cruel and malicious he was to her from the very moment she entered the circus! And the damage it did to her mental and emotional well-being!

And what I also love about this scene is that it reinforces the theme that, despite all of the hurt that he's experiencing (even before he abstracted), it doesn't automatically excuse the hurt he chose to inflict.
